We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Friday, including picks from the MLB, College Football and U.S. Open tennis. One pick is taken from each sport with a second pick from the MLB. A winning ticket would give us a very nice payout with odds of +1005 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Let’s break down each of these plays.

US Open Day 5: Jack Draper ML (-145) over Karen Khachanov, 2:00 pm ET

This is a tale of two players going in opposite directions. Karen Khachanov is the higher-ranked player, but Jack Draper should be an even bigger favorite. Draper is coming off quarterfinal appearances in Montreal and Cincinnati, and so far in New York he has erased both Emil Ruusuvuori and Felix Auger-Aliassime in easy straight sets.

Meanwhile, Khachanov’s peak ranking is No. 8 but he is now 31st. The 26-year-old Russian had been just 6-6 in his last 12 matches prior to this tournament, so confidence is lacking. Draper should be a safe choice.

College Football: Virginia Tech Hokies -6.5 (-110) over Old Dominion, 7:00 pm ET

Although Old Dominion is bringing back almost everyone from last year, they are still picked near the bottom of the Sun Belt, largely due to a brutal road schedule in their conference. One area that could hold back Old Dominion this year is a shaky defense, including a weak secondary and a defensive line that is still young and lacking depth. For that reason, expect the Hokies to exploit the ODU secondary enough to cover and win this game.

MLB: Houston Astros ML (-140) over Los Angeles Angels, 9:38 pm ET

The Angels are riding high from upsetting a struggling Yankees team, but Houston can quickly silence that behind Lance McCullers Jr. He’s just 1-1 after having just 3 starts this season, but was 13-5 last season, so he’s worth trusting to continue working back to that form against a disappointing Angels team. The Astros have also won 5 of the last 6 meetings against the Angels, and 9 of their 13 meetings this season, so for that reason, backing them to also open this series with a win will be the play.

MLB: Philadelphia Phillies ML (+100) over San Francisco Giants, 10:15 pm ET

Phillies starter Kyle Gibson is looking for his 10th win and is coming off one of his best starts. He recently pitched 7.0 scoreless innings while striking out 9 batters. He has allowed more than 2 runs just once in his 5 August starts, and now gets a Giants team in turmoil. Everything looks set for the Phillies to transition their recent blowout win into a strong weekend series, so backing the Phillies will be the play for tonight.
