We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Monday, including picks from the MLB and NFL. Three picks are taken from the MLB with one pick from the NFL. A winning ticket would give us a very nice payout with odds of +866 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Let’s break down each of these plays.

MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates vs Cincinnati Reds – Over 9 runs (-115), 6:40 pm ET

The Reds rank just outside the top 10 in runs scored over the last 7 days and are averaging just under 5 runs per game in their last 10 games. In the Pirates’ last 6 games, the over has cashed 4 times, thanks in part to their pitching and defense, as they have allowed 5 runs per game over those 6 games. There is also the fact that the last time these teams played each other, 34 total runs were scored over a 3-game series. For that reason, backing the over looks to be a solid play.

MLB: New York Mets -1.5 (-135) vs Chicago Cubs, 7:10 pm ET

Just hours after playing in prime time on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, the Cubs have to travel to the Big Apple to take on the Mets. It also doesn’t help that the Cubs have to face Chris Bassitt in this series opener. He may not be Jacob deGrom, but he’s having a great season. He’s out for his 14th win on the year, and the team has won his last 8 starts. He hasn’t faced the Cubs this season, but he’s undefeated against the NL Central.

On the flip side, the Cubs have to rely on rookie starter Javier Assad making his 5th big-league start. Chicago has lost his last 3, and his most recent was his worst. That was against a weak Reds team, so the Mets should have no problem opening up this series with a win.

NFL: Seattle Seahawks +7 (-110) over Denver Broncos, 8:15 pm ET

It is challenging to assume that a team will be clicking on all cylinders immediately with a new QB coming into a new system after 10 years in Seattle with a brand-new head coach, OC and offensive weapons. There is inevitably going to be some rust, and considering that Russell Wilson didn’t take a single snap in the preseason, I’m not expecting the smoothest start to the game.

Wilson is also 13-16-2 ATS in his career as a road favorite of over 3 points, 4-11 ATS since 2016. Road favorites of at least 6 points in Week 1 have gone 5-8 ATS in the last 10 years. For that reason, backing the Seahawks with a touchdown start will be the play.

MLB: Atlanta Braves ML (-180) over San Francisco Giants, 9:45 pm ET

One of the main reasons Atlanta is favored in this game is because Spencer Strider will make the start for the Braves. Atlanta is 12-6 in his starts and he has allowed 5 combined earned runs in his last 5 starts spanning 31 IP. There is quite a bit of swing-and-miss in this Giants lineup and Strider ranks in the 95th percentile in whiff rate this year.

San Francisco has been one of the worst defensive teams in baseball, and the Giants’ lack of ability to make plays can lead to poor luck for ground-ball pitchers. Both bullpens were used up during the weekend, but the Atlanta unit is far more trustworthy. For that reason, backing the Braves will be the play.
