One pick is taken from each sport with a second pick from college basketball. A winning ticket would give us a nice payout with odds of +2385 at FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break down each of these plays.
College basketball: Memphis Tigers vs Boise State Broncos ML (+135), 1:45 pm ET
Memphis has been playing extremely well, but the Tigers continue to struggle with turnovers and rank in the bottom 10 in turnover rate out of 358 Division 1 teams. The Broncos are a perfect 9-0 in games against teams who rank in the top 150 of KenPom’s average possession length (Memphis #48). Being that this game is in Portland, Boise State will have the benefit of being closer to home, so the crowd could favor the Broncos. Take Boise State to get the win outright and advance to the Round of 32.

EPL: Newcastle (+225) vs Everton, 3:45 pm ET
Newcastle has pulled away from the English Premier League relegation zone in the last month and can nudge Everton further toward it when the teams meet at Goodison Park today. A 5-0 EPL thrashing by Tottenham showed how much work Everton has to do, with defense a major concern, and the Toffees lost 1-0 to Wolves on Sunday, seeing only 38% of the ball at home.
Everton lost 3-1 to Newcastle at St James’ Park last month, allowing the Magpies to have 20 shots, 9 of which were on target. Since that win, Newcastle has also beaten Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton and Southampton. The Magpies lost only 1-0 against Chelsea on Sunday, due to a great late goal from Kai Havertz, and on current form they should be too strong for Everton.

NHL: Carolina Hurricanes (-115) vs Toronto Maple Leafs, 7:00 pm ET
The Canes rank in the top 10 in shots per game and goals per game, as well as possessing the 4th-best power-play percentage, so they should be able to put plenty of pressure on Erik Kallgren if he draws the start in this game. The Hurricanes also rank 1st in goals against per game and have the top-ranked penalty-kill, which should be able to limit Toronto’s high-scoring offense and top-ranked power play. The Hurricanes are one of the league’s most well-rounded teams on both ends of the ice and are capable of exposing Toronto’s major weaknesses, specifically on the defensive side. Take Carolina to grab the road victory.

College Basketball: San Francisco Dons vs Murray State ML (-135) Racers, 9:40 pm ET
Murray State enters the NCAA Tournament riding a 20-game winning streak since their 71-58 loss to Auburn on December 22. The Racers’ only other loss on the season came to East Tennessee State. They rolled through Ohio Valley Conference play, going undefeated in the regular season as well as winning the conference tournament this month. This Racers team is legit and they have a star in KJ Williams who can lead them to the next round. San Francisco forward Yauhen Massalski is rated questionable for this game, and he may not be 100% healthy even if he plays. Williams should have his way. For the sake of this parlay, take Murray State on the money line to keep rolling.
