We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Thursday night including action from the MLB, NFL and College Football.

Two picks are taken from the MLB with one each from the NFL and College Football. A winning ticket gives us a nice payout with odds at +1063 with DraftKings; that’s more than 10/1! Let’s break down each of these plays.

MLB: Washington Nationals vs Cincinnati Reds – Over 8 runs (-120), 6:40pm ET

Great American Ball Park is one of the more hitter-friendly stadiums in baseball. The over is hitting at a 56% clip there so far this season. In addition, the over is 13-7 for the Reds after an off day. Luis Castillo has been good, but this is a very attainable total. Only 5 teams have a higher OPS than the Nationals over the last 15 days, and only 6 have a higher road OPS on the season. Patrick Corbin is sporting a 5.00 ERA in September. There should be enough scoring chances from both teams to take this one over the total.

MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates vs Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 (-135), 7:05pm ET

The Phillies are trying to make a push and they need starter Aaron Nola to dig deep and finish strong. He was solid in his last start but pitched only 5 innings. He has been better at home, where his ERA is 2 runs lower.

These teams are in vastly different spaces right now and Nola vs Overton is no contest, even if Nola is not having the season any of us expected. Philadelphia is the play and the only price that makes sense is the run line.

College Football: Marshall Thundering Herd vs Appalachian State Mountaineers -7 (-110), 7:30pm ET

Both teams boast efficient and effective offenses, as long as their quarterbacks avoid turning the ball over. Chase Brice and Grant Wells are similar quarterbacks when it comes to stat lines, arm talent and turnover issues. It’s on the defensive side of the football where the Mountaineers have a distinct advantage.

Marshall is outside of the top 100 teams in the FBS when it comes to stopping the run, and App State has no problem putting the ball in the hands of its talented backfield and letting the offensive line exert their will. And if the Thundering Herd continue to make the mental mistakes that plagued them against East Carolina, Marshall may end up on the wrong end of a tough game against a dominant App State ground game.

Week night home games have been extremely advantageous for the home sides, so as long as the number hovers around a touchdown, the value is on the home favorite. Take the Mountaineers.

NFL: Carolina Panthers -8 (-110) vs Houston Texans, 8:20pm ET

Houston QB Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) has already been ruled out of this game meaning that Davis Mills will be starting. While he should improve a little now he has time to prepare, it’s a daunting prospect for any rookie to make their starting debut on primetime against a Panthers defense that has allowed the fewest points in the NFL after two weeks. Mills may struggle to lean on his running backs too, as the Panthers have allowed just 2.7 yards per carry, which is the best in the league. Expect a dominant performance from Matt Rhule’s team and for the Panthers to move to 3-0.
