It’s Friday and to get the Super Bowl weekend excitement going, we have a cross-sport parlay for today’s games. A lot of NBA players are getting used to their new homes after being traded yesterday, while the NHL and college basketball schedules remain in full swing.

We’re in great form on these cross-sport parlays, having cashed last Wednesday’s parlay at 10/1 odds and Sunday’s parlay at nearly 12/1! Today, I have taken 2 picks from the NBA and 1 each from NHL and NCAAB slates, and a winning ticket would return +1177 odds with DraftKings Sportsbook — more than 11/1!

Let’s break down each of these plays.

NBA: Cavaliers -7 (-115) vs Pacers, 7:00 pm ET

The Cleveland Cavaliers haven’t shown any signs of slowing down in 2022. Over the last 15 games they’ve gone 12-3 SU and they have the 3rd-best ATS record in the NBA. Just 5 days after their 98-85 win against the Pacers at home, they head to Indiana for a rematch. These teams were also involved in a trade that sent Caris LeVert to Cleveland, and he becomes another scoring threat for the Cavs in the backcourt.

Indiana was active before the trade deadline. They got rid of 2-time all-star Domantas Sabonis, who was shipped to Sacramento in exchange for Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield. Both of them are listed as questionable for tonight. The Pacers are on a 5-game losing streak against Central Division teams. Even if the new recruits play, it could take the Pacers time to build some chemistry. Backing the Cavs looks to be the safer option. Darius Garland is playing at an all-star level, and he had 27 points in the win over San Antonio. With a 16-10-2 ATS road record this season and a 13-point win over Indiana less than a week ago, Cleveland should take this one.

NBA: Over 226.5 points in Hornets vs Pistons (-110), 7:00 pm ET

Detroit gave up 132 points to Memphis last night in a game that easily went over. They allowed 116 and 118 points in the games before that, but those were unders because the Pistons struggled to score. That is nothing new as they are 2nd-to-last in the NBA in scoring. In this matchup, they will be facing the NBA’s 3rd-worst scoring defense, and that will make things easier and could be the key to getting the over.

Montrezl Harrell is a good addition for the Hornets overall, but he is going to help them on offense much more quickly than he will on defense. Look for Charlotte to rip through Detroit but give up a lot of points, too. Take the over.

NCAAB: Over 138 in Connecticut vs Xavier (-120), 7:00 pm ET

The UConn Huskies and the Xavier Musketeers will meet for a conference battle in the Cintas Center tonight. Take the over in this game because Xavier will want to push the pace to try to get more baskets in transition. According to KenPom, Xavier ranks 41st in average offensive possession length and 105th in adjusted tempo. UConn should be able to keep up with that pace and continue to be efficient offensively. The Huskies rank 23rd in adjusted efficiency and 2nd in offensive rebounding percentage.

They should get a bunch of second-chance opportunities with Adama Sanogo in the middle. The total has gone over in 68.2% of UConn’s games this season. Both teams could score over 70 points in this contest, so take the over.

NHL: Under 5.5 in Islanders vs Oilers (-105), 9:00 pm ET

The Islanders have had a tough time finding the back of the net all season. Even though they are average at generating pressure, they rank 29th in goals per game and have the 24th-ranked powerplay. The Oilers are one of the better offensive teams according to statistics, but they’ve scored only 1 goal in 2 games since the break and have now fired their head coach.

Don’t anticipate the Oilers’ recent goal drought to stop right away. The Islanders are a top-10 defensive team and projected starter Ilya Sorokin ranks 12th in goals saved above expected. A defense-first Islanders team and a struggling Oilers offense points to taking the under.
