Colts vs Ravens first touchdown scorer pick: Gus Edwards, RB, BAL (+550)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.
All aboard the Gus bus! Gus Edwards had himself an excellent game against the Bengals last week, tallying 62 yards on just 10 carries (6.2 YPC), including a touchdown run in the Ravens’ victory. With JK Dobbins already out, Edwards was expected to get at least 15 more carries this week as Baltimore should be in a position where they can generate great success on the ground against this suspect Colts front seven.
Now with the news that backup running back Justice Hill will also be out on Sunday, Edwards should get the vast majority of the workload, especially at the goal line. Given that the Ravens could score at least 3 touchdowns on Sunday, let’s ride with Edwards to help his team get on the board first in front of their home fans.

Cowboys vs Cardinals first touchdown scorer pick: CeeDee Lamb, WR, DAL (+700)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
The Cowboys have been a run-first team on their opening touchdown drives this season, and it’s hard to fault Dallas in that regard. After all, Dak Prescott has stressed repeatedly that he wants to keep his turnovers to a minimum and Tony Pollard is running well behind this strong Cowboys offensive line. However, the Cardinals pass defense is absolutely terrible and we saw just how bad it got last week during the second half of the Giants’ comeback victory over Arizona.
If the Cardinals can allow Daniel Jones to pick them apart with intermediate and downfield throws, then there’s no reason why Prescott can’t connect with CeeDee Lamb early and often. The Cowboys top wideout racked up 11 catches for 143 yards in Week 2, so let’s bank on this connection continuing into the opening quarter in Arizona.
