Romania vs Netherlands best bet: Both teams to score (+120)
Romania weren’t expected to succeed in Group E, but the reputation of boss Edward Iordanescu coming into the tournament was that he was a fantastic planner. That’s proven true so far at this tournament since their eye-catching opener, as Romania have looked at home at the Euros and deserved to finish top of that group. They’ve recorded Expected Goals tallies of 1.1, 0.9 and 1.2 through their first 3 games at the tournament and they head into this contest having suffered just 2 defeats in their last 18 matches. With the Dutch showing some vulnerabilities, Romania could trouble them in Munich.
The Netherlands have had an unconvincing tournament so far, starting with their poor set piece defending against Poland. That was followed by a 0-0 tie with France where they lost the xG battle and then they shipped 3 goals to Austria in Berlin. Heading into the tournament, the Dutch had a string of big names in defense, but questions over their forward line and the absence of Frenkie De Jong. However, they’ve created plenty of chances so far, but they’ve struggled to keep their opponents quiet. We could see goals at both ends in this one and there is value on that wager at plus-money odds.

Austria vs Turkey best bet: Austria ML & Over 2.5 goals (+190)
Austria looked hot when topping Group D ahead of France and the Netherlands, and Ralf Rangnick’s team has arguably been the breakout story of the tournament with their attacking play. With a clash against Turkey in the Last 16, Austria are primed for a deep run at this tournament. Not only have they landed in the easier half of the tournament’s draw, but the Austrians meet a Turkish team they crushed 6-1 in March.
While this could be seen as the perfect chance for Turkey to take revenge, the way that Austria’s pressing style blew them out of the water is a concern. Looking back across the group stage, Turkey beat a functional Czech side that managed a single point in total, while they found it tough against Georgia’s intensity. Portugal simply proved too strong for Turkey, while their calamitous own-goal from that clash doesn’t bode well ahead of meeting Austria’s high press. Ultimately, Austria should be able to get the better of Turkey but given they scored 3 goals in each of their last 2 group games and Turkey have also seen plenty of goals in their games, it’s worth adding over 2.5 goals to be scored to add great value to this pick.
