Spain vs Croatia best bet: Croatia Win or Tie double chance (-120)

After a third-place finish at the last World Cup, Croatia have proven they are capable of deep tournament runs. They’ve also had some impressive results since Qatar, beating Netherlands in Amsterdam in the Nations League semifinals before forcing the Spanish to penalties in the final. Croatia head into this contest unbeaten in 6 games, having won 2-1 at Portugal in their final warm-up friendly. They gave themselves a week to build up for their opener and this experienced team should be prepared for the clash in Berlin. Croatia proved their tournament credentials by losing just once in their 7 games at the last World Cup, so Spain look worth avoiding to win this game.

Italy vs Albania best bet: Under 2.5 goals (-140)

Albania’s success in qualifying came from their defensive solidity, as they only conceded 4 times in 8 games, and they have some solid defensive options, many of whom play club soccer in Italy. Captain Berat Djimsiti was a key part of the Atalanta team that won the Europa League while Elseid Hysaj has been an important player for both Napoli and Lazio over the last decade. Midfielder Kristjan Asllani played 23 league games for title-winning Inter Milan and in fact, 9 of the 26-man Albanian squad featured in Serie A last season so they are not to be underestimated. Four of Italy’s last 5 games have gone under 2.5 goals as they have struggled to find the right attacking dynamic, and this one looks likely to see few goals scored as well.
