Spain vs England best bet: Both teams to score (+104)
After a month of thrilling Euro 2024 action, just 2 teams remain as Spain take on England in the final in Berlin on Sunday afternoon. The Three Lions are looking for redemption after defeat to Italy in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley, while Spain could claim a record fourth victory in the competition. The England squad made history on Wednesday night as they reached back-to-back finals for the first time and also a first major final on foreign soil with their 2-1 win over the Netherlands. Spain have had a tougher route to the final as they overcame host nation Germany in the quarterfinals with a last-minute winner in extra time before beating France 2-1 in the semifinals – thanks in part to a superb display from teenage sensation Lamine Yamal – and they go into the game as the deserved favorites.
Ultimately a Spain win does seem the more likely scenario but the best bet in this game is both teams to score, given the attacking talent these 2 teams possess. Spain managed to navigate the group stages with 3 winswith shutouts but they have conceded in each of their knockout games against Georgia, Germany and France. It has been a similar story for England as they only conceded 1 goal in their first 3 games but then played out 1-1 ties with Slovakia and Switzerland, winning in extra time and on penalties respectively, before a late Ollie Watkins goal in the semi-final against the Dutch saw them secure a 2-1 victory.
It is hard to see this lethal Spanish team drawing a blank as they have managed an impressive 13 goals in 6 games in Germany (12 in normal time) and they have threats in all areas with 9 different scorers. England haven’t been quite as impressive with 7 goals in total (6 in normal time) from 4 different scorers. Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham have perhaps underwhelmed at times but they have still managed 5 goals between them. At plus-money odds, there is plenty of value in both teams to score in Spain vs England.
