With the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 wrapping up, we have a huge Sunday in the sports world. In addition to the March Madness action on the college hardwood, we also have a four-game slate in the NBA and a six-game NHL schedule. Let’s take a look at where the money has gone so far.

NBA: Denver Nuggets -4.5 over Atlanta Hawks

Per DraftKings, the public is all over the Denver Nuggets as they prepare to visit the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night. A total of 79 percent of the handle and 71 percent of the bets are backing Denver -4.5. Bettors also love the money line at -180, with 92 percent of the handle and 83 percent of the wagers picking the Nuggets to win outright.

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers ML over Orlando Magic

Another popular play is on the Los Angeles Lakers to win straight up against the visiting Orlando Magic. The Lakers are drawing 82 percent of the handle and 83 percent of the bets on the money line. Bettors are not especially willing to give the 6.5 points, however, with only 55 percent of the money and 59 percent of the wagers on L.A. against the spread.

We like the both of these NBA plays. The Hawks have won nine of their last 11 to inflate their status just a bit, but most of those victories have come against unspectacular competition. This isn’t much of a spread for the Nuggets to cover. As for the Lakers, we think they will win but not cover against the Nikola Vucevic-less Magic. Los Angeles ML is part of our Sunday NBA mega parlay.

NHL: Florida Panthers +1.5 over Dallas Stars

There is a clear-cut No. 1 play of the day in the public’s eyes in the NHL on Sunday. It is without question the Florida Panthers in their road game against the Dallas Stars. Florida on the -1.5 puck line is inspiring 96 percent of the money and 89 percent of the wagers. On the +102 money line, the Panthers are getting 63 percent of the handle and 67 percent of the bets.

NHL: Boston Bruins ML over New Jersey Devils

Punters also like the Boston Bruins on the money line in their home contest against the New Jersey Devils. A total of 71 percent of the handle and 83 percent of the wagers are backing Boston to win straight up.

We have to agree with the public on both of these plays, and we are even willing to take the Panthers outright without needing the 1.5 goals.

NCAA Tournament: Alabama ML vs. UCLA

One of bettors’ favor Sweet 16 plays in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday is on Alabama against UCLA. With 71 percent of the wagers coming in on the Crimson Tide straight up at -275, 76 percent of the money is going in that direction.
