With the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight tipping off tonight, we have a huge Monday in the sports world. In addition to the March Madness action on the college hardwood, we also have an 11-game slate in the NBA and a seven-game NHL schedule. Let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far.
NCAA Tournament: Houston ML vs. Oregon State
There is not a ton of money going in one particularly direction on today’s Elite Eight contests (Houston vs. Oregon. State and Baylor vs. Arkansas). That being said, bettors are understandably somewhat willing to back Houston on the money line (-345). A total of 71 percent of the handle and 62 percent of the wagers are picking the Cougars to win straight up. However, the Beavers (+7.5) are getting most of the ATS money at the moment.
NCAA Tournament: Baylor -8 vs. Arkansas
Punters’ favorite ATS play for Monday’s NCAA Tournament action is Baylor -8. The Bears are getting 75 percent of the handle and 67 percent of the bets in that department. They are also inspiring 75 percent of the wagers on the money line (-400) even though just 59 percent of the handle is going in that same direction.
We agree with the public for the most part when it comes to today’s games, as we are willing to give the points with both favorites—Houston included. Arkansas underwhelmed against Oklahoma State and you have to figure Oregon State’s Cinderella run ends at some point…right?!?!

NBA: Memphis Grizzlies ML vs. Houston Rockets
Per DraftKings, the public is all over the Memphis Grizzlies as they prepare to visit the Houston Rockets on Monday night. A total of 95 percent of the handle and 84 percent of the bets are backing Memphis to win straight up at -210. Bettors also love the -5 spread, with 93 percent of the handle and 70 percent of the wagers going toward the. Grizzlies ATS.
NBA: Toronto Raptors -4.5 vs. Detroit Pistons
Another popular play is on the Toronto Raptors to win and cover against the Detroit Pistons. The Raptors (-4.5) are drawing 82 percent of the handle and also 82 percent of the bets. Punters are racing to the money line (-180), as well, putting 96 percent of the handle and 81 percent of the wagers on Toronto to find the win column.
We like the both of these NBA plays. In fact, Grizzlies -5 and Raptors -4.5 are two of our best NBA bets of the day.
NHL: Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 vs. Los Angeles Kings
Bettors’ favorite NHL play of the day is without question on the Vegas Golden Knights in their home game against the Los Angeles Kings. On the puck line, Vegas is getting 95 percent of the money and 86 percent of the bets. Unsurprisingly, the money line (-210) is also being hammered. A total of 92 percent of the handle and 96 percent of the wagers are backing the Golden Knights to win outright.
