It’s a busy week in the world of sports with the arrival of the NFL and another big slate of college football action. Major League Baseball has center stage for the most part on Tuesday, while the U.S. Open quarterfinals are also making headlines. Let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far on Tuesday.
MLB: San Francisco Giants -1.5 over Colorado Rockies
Bettors’ favorite MLB play of the day is on the Giants to win by multiple runs against the Rockies. San Francisco on the -1.5 run line is inspiring a bloated 98 percent of the handle and 89 percent of the bets. On the money line, the Giants are sizable -220 favorites. The public certainly isn’t scared away by that juice, though. A total of 88 percent of the money and also 88 percent of the bets are supporting San Francisco to win straight up.
And why not? The Giants have won 13 of Logan Webb’s last 14 starts and they are winning those games by an average of more than 3 runs. San Francisco -1.5 is one of our best MLB bets of the day.

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers ML over Saint Louis Cardinals
Bettors are also hammering the Dodgers in their road date with the Cardinals. Los Angeles on the -210 money line is getting 80 percent of the money and 83 percent of the wagers. Punters are quite willing to give the -1.5 runs, too. The Dodgers are bringing in 76 percent of the handle, and 81 percent of the bets are going in the same direction.
MLB: Los Angeles Angels vs. San Diego Padres Over 7.5
When it comes to game totals, the public is all over the over in this meeting between the Angels and Padres. With 97 percent of the wagers supporting Over 7.5, 85 percent of the money is doing the same. There is conflicting interest on the sides when it comes to both the run line and the money line, so it’s clear that the total is the way to go in this matchup—at least in the eyes of the public.

U.S. Open: Aryna Sabalenka ML over Barbora Krejcikova
The first semifinal spots at the 2021 U.S. Open will be handed out on Tuesday. With top two seeds Ashleigh Barty and Naomi Osaka out of the tournament, Aryna Sabalenka has become the title favorite on the women’s side (+275). The Belarusian is a -175 favorite to defeat Barbora Krejcikova in the quarters. A total of 76 percent of the wagers have 77 percent of the handle going in favor of Sabalenka.

NFL: Green Bay Packers -4 over New Orleans Saints
We might as well go ahead and start looking ahead to Week 1 of the NFL season, which begins on Thursday with Bucs vs. Cowboys. Headlining a full day of Sunday games is the Green Bay Packets’ visit to the New Orleans Saints. Green Bay still has its veteran star QB (Aaron Rodgers), while New Orleans does not (Drew Brees retired). That is part of the reason why bettors love the Packers, who are drawing 91 percent of the money and 81 percent of the wagers on the -4 spread. On the -220 money line, Green Bay is getting 73 percent of the handle and 86 percent of the bets.
