It is another huge day in the sports world. College basketball conference tournaments are rounding the home stretch, some more successfully than others in terms of Covid-19 issues. The Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz, and Los Angeles Lakers are among the teams in action on the NBA hardwood. On the ice, bettors are loving the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche.

NBA: Utah Jazz -17 over Houston Rockets
Per Draft Kings, bettors are all over the Utah Jazz as they prepare to host the Houston Rockets on Friday. A massive 17-point is doing nothing to scare them off, as a whopping 92 percent of the money to go along with 72 percent of the bets are coming in on the Jazz -17.
We got the Jazz at -15.5, and it’s clear the public is willing to give even more than that. After all, Utah is one of the best teams in the NBA and–at least right now–Houston is the worst. The Rockets have lost an absurd 14 games in a row and John Wall, PJ Tucker, Christian Wood, and Daniel House Jr. have all been ruled out for Friday’s contest.
NBA: Philadelphia 76ers vs. Washington Wizards Over 234.5
Punters are also hammering the over in this game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards. With 71 percent of the bets coming in on Over 234.5, 84 percent of the money is going in that direction.
NHL: Edmonton Oilers -1.5 over Ottawa Senators
Bettors’ favorite NHL play of the day is the Edmonton Oilers against the Ottawa Senators. An overwhelming 95 percent of the handle and 88 percent of the bets are coming in on Edmonton’s -1.5 puck line. They also love the money line (-265), with 92 percent of the money and 93 percent of the wagers backing the Oilers to win straight up.
Not only is Edmonton -1.5 our favorite NHL bet on Friday, but it is also our lock of the day across all sports. The Oilers have won the first two of this current three-game series, including the most recent contest on Wednesday by a ridiculous score of 7-1.
NHL: Colorado Avalanche ML over Los Angeles Kings
In the eyes of the public, the next-best play is on the Colorado Avalanche against the Los Angeles Kings. The money line (-230) is massively skewed in Colorado’s favor. Nonetheless, 87 percent of both the handle and the bets are tipping the Avalanche to win straight up. Of course, the -1.5 PL has better value. That line isn’t scaring too many punters; 74 percent of the money and 60 percent of the wagers have the Avs winning by multiple goals.
We are on the money line, as well. The Kings just aren’t a great hockey team and they have lost five of their last seven outings. In reality the Avalanche should win this one by at least two goals, but we will opt for the safe play and go with the ML instead of the PL.
NCAAB: Iowa Hawkeyes ML over Wisconsin Badgers
A whole host of college basketball games took place earlier in the afternoon, but there is still plenty of action on offer at night. Bettors are eager to wrap up the day in style with an Iowa victory over Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament. A total of 90 percent of the handle and 91 percent of the wagers are backing Iowa on the money line. There isn’t much disagreement on the -4.5 line, either, with the Hawkeyes getting 73 percent of the money to cover in addition to 85 percent of the bets.
