We have a three-day break from March Madness in between the Elite Eight and the Final Four, but there is plenty of action in the NBA and NHL on Wednesday night. And, of course, Final Four betting is already in full flight. Let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far.

NBA: New York Knicks -3.5 vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Per DraftKings, the public is all over the New York Knicks as they prepare to visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday. A total of 94 percent of the handle and 78 percent of the bets are backing New York to cover the -3.5 spread. Bettors also love the money line (-155), with 86 percent of the handle and 72 percent of the wagers going toward the Knicks to win outright.

NBA: Utah Jazz ML vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Another popular play is on the Utah Jazz to beat the host Memphis Grizzlies. The Jazz (-182) are drawing 82 percent of the handle and also 88 percent of the bets on the money line.

When it comes to these two NBA plays, we love the Knicks to cover the 3.5-point spread. In fact, it is one of our best bets of the day. They are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five on the road. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have just been awful this year. Similarly to the public, as well, we like the Jazz to win straight up but are more reluctant about the line. Memphis may be able to cover +5.5.

NHL: Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 vs. Los Angeles Kings

Bettors’ favorite NHL play of the day is on the Vegas Golden Knights in their home game against the Los Angeles Kings. They aren’t afraid to give the 1.5 goals, with 92 percent of the money and 69 percent of the wagers backing Vegas on the puck line. Despite less enticing -225 juice, the Golden Knights’ money lone is drawing 93 percent of the handle and 88 percent of the wagers.

NHL: Minnesota Wild ML vs. San Jose Sharks

Punters are also hammering the Minnesota Wild to win straight up against the host San Jose Sharks. A total of 95 percent of the money and 80 percent of the bets are taking Minnesota at -159. The puck line is not inspiring as much confidence, although the Wild -1.5 is getting a decent 76 percent of the action in terms of money.

We have to agree with the public on each of these two NHL plays, although we’re advocating the money line as opposed to the puck line on both.

NCAA Tournament: Gonzaga -14 vs. UCLA

Bettors have been all over the Gonzaga Bulldogs throughout this NCAA Tournament, and nothing appears to be changing in advance of the Final Four. Early money is on the Zags against UCLA; despite the lofty spread, they are getting backed by 86 percent of the handle and 72 percent of the bets.
