The NFL playoffs are rapidly approaching, but for now we have to focus on the NBA, NHL, and college basketball. There is more than enough to work with on the betting front when it comes to those three sports on Thursday. An especially intriguing NBA slate includes the Grizzlies, Warriors, Bucks, Clippers, Nets, and Nuggets all playing.
Let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far on Thursday.
NBA: Memphis Grizzlies -5.5 over Minnesota Timberwolves
One of bettors’ favorite plays on the NBA schedule is on red-hot Memphis to cover a -5.5 spread at home against Minnesota. The Grizzlies are bringing in 89 percent of the handle and 96 percent of the bets. And why not? Ja Morant and company have won 10 games in a row, surging to third place in the Western Conference. Our NBA expert handicapper is all over Memphis, as well.

NBA: Golden State Warriors ML over Milwaukee Bucks
Punters are also backing the Warriors in their road game against the Bucks. They aren’t too enthused about taking the 2.5 points, but that’s only because they don’t feel like such a play is necessary. Instead, the public is happy to tail Golden State to pick up the outright victory and return a payout of +115 on the money line. Stephen Curry and company have cooled off just a bit of late but still boast a 30-10 record to find themselves in between Phoenix and Memphis in the standings.

NHL: St. Louis Blues -1.5 over Seattle Kraken
Bettors’ favorite NHL play is on the Blues on the -1.5 puck line in their home date with the Kraken. St. Louis is being supported by 94 percent of the money and 98 percent of the wagers to win by multiple goals. The public is also happy to incur the -230 juice and bet on the Blues to win straight up. They are drawing 97 percent of the handle and 96 percent of the money line bets.

NHL: Calgary Flames ML over Ottawa Senators
Punters are also putting their faith in the Flames, who are hosting the Senators. The public is not scared off by the -240 money line juice, as there is just that much confidence in Calgary to win outright. A total of 93 percent of the handle and 97 percent of the bets are going in that direction. Our best NHL bet of the day is on the Flames to cover the -1.5 puck line, and bettors are in agreement. With 93 percent of the puck-line wagers going toward Calgary, 81 percent of the money is doing the same.

NCAAB: Wisconsin Badgers -3.5 over Ohio State Buckeyes
There is a decent-sized slate of college basketball on Thursday, and the lone all-top 25 showdown pits Wisconsin against visiting Ohio State. Bettors are hammering the Badgers to the tune of 66 percent of the wagers and 83 percent of the handle on the -3.5 spread. Given the notable discrepancy in bets and money, there have clearly been some huge volume plays made on Wisconsin. That is going to make for some nervous bettors on Thursday night, but we say not to worry. We are also on the Badgers for this game.
