Brazil made a massive statement with a 4-1 win over South Korea in the World Cup round of 16 and will be looking to build on that against Croatia in the first quarterfinal on Friday (10:00am ET, FOX, Peacock, Telemundo).

I cashed a +1290 odds Same Game Parlay on the Brazil vs South Korea game, so let’s go for another big win!

The sight of Neymar returning to the field after injury was a confidence boost for Brazil, but Croatia will have hopes of progressing after reaching the final in Russia 4 years ago. Zlatko Dalic’s team needed a shootout to get past Japan in the last round and will be looking to cause an upset at the Education City Stadium.

We’ve come up with a Croatia vs Brazil Same Game Parlay, which has a payout at +716 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Brazil ML (-290)

Richarlison anytime goalscorer (+150)

Marcelo Brozovic to be booked (+195)

Same Game Parlay odds: +782

Let’s check out the reasoning behind each of our selections:

Brazil ML (-290)

While Portugal’s 6-1 win over Switzerland was another last-16 result that caught the eye, Brazil’s 4-1 victory against South Korea was a procession and it should be built upon versus Croatia. Brazil coach Tite has a galaxy of star players in all areas of the field and his team has scored at least 2 goals in 8 of its last 11 games. Having Neymar back after he sat out 2 games with an injury means Brazil is strong again at just the right time. Ignore that it lost its last pool game against Cameroon as qualification has already been guaranteed.

It is difficult to see Croatia providing much cause for alarm. The Croats reach the final 4 years ago, but their roster is old and the extra 30 minutes that were required against Japan could have taken a toll. Take Brazil to win in regulation time to start our parlay.

Richarlison anytime goalscorer (+150)

While Neymar’s return grabbed plenty of attention on Monday, one player who has really come to prominence is Tottenham’s Richarlison, who has scored 3 goals in the tournament. He was on hand to score twice in the 2-0 victory over Serbia in the opening game and finished off a great passing move to score against South Korea.

Chances should continue to come his way and his confidence will be sky high, so there is little doubt he could score again in this game. Like the first leg, remember only regulation time and stoppages count for this bet, not the extra 30 minutes or a converted kick in a shootout.

Marcelo Brozovic to be booked (+195)

This could be a particularly busy match for the Croatia midfield, with Brazil expected to enjoy the majority of possession. Croatia could be vulnerable to picking up yellow cards and Marcelo Brozovic is a player who could fall foul of the referee.

He has yet to receive a booking at this year’s World Cup despite committing 7 fouls, and this could be the time his luck runs out, especially as the Inter Milan player has had 5 yellow cards in 10 appearances in Italy’s Serie A this season.
