The 2024 Copa America Final has arrived, and contesting it are arguably the 2 most in-form teams on the planet right now. On one side you have Argentina, who are the defending Copa America champions as well as the reigning world champions, while on the other side you have Colombia, who are on a crazy 28-game unbeaten run and have not been defeated in more than 2 years. Will it be Lionel Messi or James Rodriguez who will be celebrating at the end of the night? Argentina vs Colombia will air live at 8:00 pm ET on FOX from Hard Rock Stadium. We have our expert soccer predictions for both the Euro 2024 Final and the 2024 Copa America Final, but for now, let’s dive into our Argentina vs Colombia pick.

Argentina vs Colombia best bet: Argentina ML (+120)

Argentina’s tournament-tough mentality can ensure they prevail over a red-hot Colombian team in 2024 Copa America final. Lionel Scaloni’s team has been impressively ruthless during a tournament that has seen their winning temperaments get them through to another final without ever really hitting top form. Lionel Messi has been below his best, Julian Alvarez’s contributions have been few and far between, and some of the defending has lacked its usual authority. But the spine of the team has been very solid and when they came the closest to being eliminated by Ecuador in the quarterfinals, their veteran stars stepped up to see them through.

Colombia are not short of experience either with 6 players boasting over 50 appearances and James Rodriguez still playing at a high level after over 100 games for his country. He has been in brilliant form throughout the tournament and will need to be marked closely, but he alone will struggle to make up for Colombia’s deficit of tournament experience – particularly in attack. Argentina were the last time to beat Colombia more than 2 years ago and it is easy to imagine them becoming the ones to end their record-breaking 28-game unbeaten run. Ultimately, Argentina have a better goalkeeper, better central defenders and better attacking players than Colombia, and I’m taking the reigning champs to successfully defend their title within 90 minutes as my Argentina vs Colombia best bet.
