It’s a big weekend on the college football gridiron and we are going big with another mega parlay. All three legs are upset plays. Although we aren’t touching Arkansas vs Georgia or Ole Miss vs Alabama, we are dabbling into an ACC showdown, a Heisman Trophy contender, and an undefeated Big 12 squad.
We have hit 2 mega parlays through 5 weeks (including Week 0), cashing one at better than +1100 odds and another north of +1500. We feel good about our chances of hitting this one and batting .500 through 6 efforts. That wouldn’t be too shabby!
Georgia Tech ML (+145)
Liberty ML (+110)
Baylor ML (+155)
Parlay odds: +1281
For this parlay we are going with three underdogs on the money line. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.
Georgia Tech ML over Pittsburgh (+145)
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets may be better than people think. The Yellow Jackets raised some eyebrows last week with their win over North Carolina. They are +3.5 home underdogs against the Pittsburgh Panthers this weekend. A big reason why Georgia Tech has been successful over the past couple of weeks has been the defense. Tech has a +5 turnover differential after forcing 3 fumbles against North Carolina and one the week before against Clemson.
Whether it’s Jeff Sims or Jordan Yates playing quarterback for Georgia Tech, the Jackets thrive on run-pass options and that is something that Pitt has struggled with this season. When the Panthers faced Western Michigan they watched Broncos quarterback Kaleb Eleby throw for 337 and 3 touchdowns. Two WMU running backs rushed for more than 75 yards and combined for 3 touchdowns. Pitt’s offense has been impressive, but the Jackets held Clemson to 126 passing yards and Sam Howell of North Carolina to a reasonable 306 even in game in which UNC trailed most of the way and had to air it out. Another upset could be in the cards for GT.

Liberty ML over UAB (+110)
Liberty quarterback Malik Willis has completed 63 of 88 passes for 810 yards with 10 TDs and no INTs while rushing for 274 yards and 2 TDs. It’s nothing new for the Atlanta, Ga. native. Last season he passed for 2,260 yards, rushed for 944, and accounted for 34 total touchdowns. Despite Willis’ best efforts, the Flames suffered their first loss of the season to Syracuse last weekend. That’s what they are underdogs against UAB. The Blazers are also 3-1 with wins over Jacksonville State, North Texas, and Tulane plus a 56-7 loss to Georgia. They are dealing with a QB controversy involving former starter Tyler Johnston III and apparent new starter Dylan Hopkins. Take the Flames to win outright as Willis continues to play his way into the Heisman Trophy discussion.
Baylor ML over Oklahoma State (+155)
After going 2-7 in year 1 under head coach Dave Aranda, year 2 appears to be the turnaround for Baylor. The Bears are 4-0 and coming off a huge win over 14th-ranked Iowa State. They also went on the road and destroyed Kansas 45-7. Quarterback Gerry Bohanon has accounted for 11 total touchdowns without getting picked off a single time. Oklahoma State is also 4-0, but it hasn’t looked great while covering only one spread. QB Spencer Sanders has been inconsistent, and with the way Baylor’s defense has been playing he may struggle a bit in this one. One team is reaching the 5-0 mark; don’t be surprised if it’s the Bears.
