A lot of things almost happened in Week 3 of the college football season. In the end most of the results were as expected, but still the stage is set for what could be a wild 2021 campaign. How crazy will the action get in Week 4? There are only two all-top 25 contests on Saturday but as the recent festivities suggest, just because games may not look competitive opener it doesn’t mean they can’t deliver on the field.

Week 4 games to watch
Notre Dame is 3-0, but to say it hasn’t been impressive would be a gross understatement. The Fighting Irish opened with a 41-38 overtime victory over Florida State, scraped past Toledo 32-20, and then beat Purdue 27-13. Now it gets tougher in the form of a neutral-site showdown against Wisconsin at Soldier Field in Chicago. Although the Irish may be in line for their first loss, right now I would have to take the 5.5 points.
The one conference rivalry game between ranked teams pits Texas A&M against Arkansas. Both SEC squads are 3-0 as they prepare to begin conference competition. I can’t remember the last time this rivalry game wasn’t a competitive affair (actually I know because I looked it up; the answer is 2016). This should be another one, so I’ll happily take the team that is getting 6 points — which is Arkansas.
I also see a potential opportunity in the Big Ten. This past weekend we were all over Michigan State with a 3-star play on the +6.5 spread at Miami (FL) and that was an easy winner. Why not stay on the bandwagon? The Spartans are playing at home this weekend and giving only 4 points to Nebraska. Yep, I’ll take Sparty to cover, thank you very much.
