When they play in the in the SEC Championship, Georgia and Alabama occasionally go into it on the heels of tough respective battles against Georgia Tech and Auburn. That is not expected to be the case this time around. Clean Old Fashioned Hate and the Iron Bowl are likely to be big-time beatdowns; Georgia is favored by 35 points in the former and Alabama is favored by 19.5 points in the latter.

Those are just two of the matchups in rivalry week. It’s one of the busiest and best weeks of every college football season and there are plenty of betting opportunities to be found.

Week 13 games to watch

Ohio State vs Michigan is without question the biggest game on the schedule, as both teams are in College Football Playoff contention. The Buckeyes have beaten Purdue by 28 points and Michigan State by 49 points (not a typo) in their last two contests. Can the Wolverines really keep it to around a touchdown or less on Saturday? They have lost eight straight in the head-to-head series and 15 of the last 16, including the last two by a combined 52 points. Give me Ohio State -7.5. As for the game totals, I want to take the over in this matchup but with the number at 63.5 I’m not inclined to touch it right now.

Another game I like a lot comes in the ACC, where Wake Forest is looking to wrap up the Coastal Division crown despite its recent loss to Clemson. Only Boston College stands in the Demon Deacons’ way, and the Eagles occupy last place at 2-5 in the conference. B.C.’s only two wins have come against Georgia Tech (3-8, 2-6) and a Virginia Tech team that just fired head coach Justin Fuente. The Eagles are coming off a bad home loss to Florida State, so there is no reason to think they can cover +4.5 at home against a much better Wake Forest squad. Roll with the Deacons.
