It’s already time to start thinking about the College Football Playoff. The calendar has turned to November, Week 10 of the season is already upon us and the first CFP rankings were revealed on Tuesday night. We already know for certain that there will be some movement in those rankings in the aftermath of this weekend, as #1 Tennessee is paying a visit to #3 Georgia.
But first, we have to focus on the weekday slate. Friday night features a trio of games, which allows us to go to work in the form of a 3-leg mega parlay. Let’s take a look.
UMass vs UConn Under 40 (-110)
Duke -9.5 (-110)
Washington -9.5 alternate spread (+162)
Parlay odds: +855
For this parlay we are going with 2 favorites against the spread – 1 on an alternate number – and an under play. Here is a breakdown of each leg.

UMass vs UConn Under 40 (-110)
This rivalry matchup between UMass and UConn projecs to be a low-scoring affair between 2 bad offensive teams. UConn averages a mere 17.6 points per game, but if you think that’s bad, just take a gander at UMass; the Minutemen are putting up only 12.1 points per contest. Each program has hit the under in 6 games already this year, and even though a total of 40 is a low number, the market still probably hasn’t adjusted enough. Combined these 2 teams are amassing 533 yards per game, a statistic you will see plenty of teams – especially in the Big 12 – reach by themselves. But wait! There is one stat in which UMass leads the entire nation…. Punts! I’m taking the under.

Duke -9.5 over Boston College (-110)
Duke has been all over the place this season, and it looks like right now it might be going in the right direction. The Blue Devils started the season in fine form, lost 2 in a row in the middle of October and then avoided a 3-game skid by beating up on Miami by 14 points last weekend. They rushed for 200 yards, which is nothing new; their 205.1 yards per game on the ground is good for #21 in the FBS. Duke’s defense is also improving, limiting 3 of the last 4 opponents to no more than 23 points. Now the Devils face a Boston College squad that was actually just beaten by UConn. The Eagles have scored more than 22 points just twice in 2022, a big reason why they are saddled with a 2-6 record. Their last 3 games have resulted in a 28-point loss to Clemson, a 28-point loss to Wake Forest and a 13-3 loss to UConn. Look for Duke to win this one by double-digits.

Washington -9.5 alternate spread over Oregon State (+162)
Washington will welcome Oregon State to Husky Stadium, where the home team is undefeated straight up and 4-1 ATS this season. Quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. leads the country in passing yards, whereas the Beavers are starting backup Ben Gulbranson because Chance Nolan is still working his way back from injury. Advantage: Washington. The Huskies are averaging the second-most yards per game in the Pac-12 and also has the edge in run defense over Oregon State. It could be a tough day at the office for OSU running back Damien Martinez, who is averaging 6.5 yards per carry but may struggle against the Huskies, and the Beavers could get taken out of their game early if they fall behind by a fair amount. Don’t be surprised if Washington wins big.
