After a long and eventful regular season, the best time of the year on the college football calendar has finally arrived. Following the conclusion of Championship Week last weekend, the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff field was announced on Sunday, which also officially marks the start of bowl season. However, before we get to bowl season and the new CFP in all of its glory, the final game of the regular season will take place between Army and Navy at Northwest Stadium, home of the Washington Commanders. This is sure to be an excellent contest, especially since both teams are in the midst of terrific seasons. Kickoff can’t come soon enough!

Let’s get into our Navy vs Army Same Game Parlay picks, which will be televised starting at 3:00 pm ET on CBS. You can also find out our college football picks for EVERY championship game this weekend.

Navy +6.5 (-110)

It’s been a very successful season for both of these service academies, as each team greatly exceeded its preseason expectations and consistently beat the market for the majority of the campaign. Navy raced out to an undefeated 6-0 start, before stumbling a bit down the stretch due to injury and a couple of games against tougher competition. Nonetheless, an 8-3 record for this Navy program is more than enough for this season to be a rousing success. On the other side, this Army program is in the midst of its best season in quite a while. The Black Knights just finished off a tremendous, 11-win campaign by capturing the AAC title with a dominant victory over Tulane at home a week ago. Army quarterback Bryson Daily has been one of the best QBs in the nation in 2024, spearheading an offense that has been a machine all season long. The Black Knights are well-coached and certainly look like the better team on paper heading into this matchup.

While these teams are both playing good football on offense, these are still a couple of programs that like to play ball control and keep the clock ticking, which means that possessions will be at a premium between these teams. This style of play historically favors the underdog, and that fits perfectly into how Navy prefers to play, especially since the Midshipmen should have starting quarterback Blake Horvath back under center for this game. This rivalry has been decided by just one possession in 8 of the last 10 meetings, and I’ll be going to back that trend one more time by taking Navy as an underdog in this one.

Over 38.5 (-110)

Both of these offenses are in a great position to succeed in this matchup. Daily leads an Army offense that is 4th in the nation in success rate, 10th in EPA per rush, 8th in EPA per dropback, 6th in Early Downs EPA and 3rd in net points per drive (College Football Insiders). This unit should have no trouble moving the ball against a Navy defense that is 83rd in rushing success rate allowed, 77th in 3rd/4th down success rate and 63rd in points per drive allowed this season. Considering that the Midshipmen faced pretty weak competition for most of the campaign, these are not encouraging season-long numbers entering a matchup against an offense this potent and well-schemed. On the other side, Horvath had been dealing with injuries in recent weeks, but he is expected to start at quarterback for Navy on Saturday. He’ll pilot a Midshipmen offense that should be able to at least get to 17 points against a Black Knights defense that is 93rd in success rate allowed, 76th in Early Downs EPA and 93rd in 3rd/4th down success rate allowed. Despite the historical trends that point to this game going under the total, I’m actually a proponent of a rare over in this series.

Don’t miss our expert’s college football best bet for the Army-Navy game

Kanye Udoh anytime touchdown scorer (+150)

For our final pick in this SGP, let’s go with Kanye Udoh to find the end zone on Saturday. Udoh had a great season as the lead running back for the Black Knights, rushing for well over 1,000 yards and finding the end zone 10 times. He’s also coming off a great performance in the AAC Championship game, where Udoh ran the ball 20 times for 158 yards and a touchdown against a very stout Tulane defense. It’s also important to note that Udoh scored a pair of touchdowns against Air Force earlier in the season, so he has previous success against a fellow service academy on defense. At plus money, this price is too good to pass up.
