The College Football Playoff National Championship features a team that was always expected to be there and one that is a Cinderella story. Top-ranked Georgia is bidding to become the first team in the CFP era to repeat as champion. TCU did not even begin the season in the top 25.
Below is our SGP for the National Championship, and also be sure to check out our full TCU vs Georgia predictions on the side and total.
Over 62.5 (-110)
Max Duggan over 240.5 passing yards (-114)
Max Duggan over 30.5 rushing yards (-114)
Kendall Milton to score a touchdown (+230)
Parlay odds: +1582
Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Max Duggan having a big game and Kendall Milton finding the end zone would obviously work well with an over bet. Let’s break down each of the SGP legs.
Over 62.5 (-110)
This feels like it should be a back-and-forth shootout similar to what both these teams played in their semifinals. It’s hard to see Georgia’s defense going in complete shutdown mode. It hasn’t really put the clamps down on an elite offense since the Tennessee game. In UGA’s last 2 games against potent offenses like LSU and Ohio State it gave up 30 and 41 points, respectively. Even though TCU got 2 pick-6s against Michigan, 51-point output was still in part due to a prolific offense. The Bulldogs will have to be aware of TCU wideout Quentin Johnston, who is every bit as good as Marvin Harrison, Jr. who was routinely open throughout the Peach Bowl before leaving due to a concussion. Meanwhile, not including the outlier that was a 16-6 win over Kentucky, Georgia has averaged 43.5 points in its last 4 outings.

Max Duggan over 240.5 passing yards (-114)
The Horned Frogs are +12.5 underdogs, so it would not surprise anyone if they are playing from behind from start to finish. If that’s the case, Duggan will be airing it out early and often. In fact, he might as well do that anyway given how Georgia’s pass defense has looked in the past 2 games. During a 50-30 SEC Championship victory over LSU, it allowed 502 yards through the air. C.J. Stroud passed for 348 in the Bulldogs’ 42-41 Peach Bowl triumph. UGA features the #1 rushing defense in the nation and TCU running back Kendre Miller is questionable, so the Horned Frogs have even more reason to take to the air.
Max Duggan over 30.5 rushing yards (-114)
As mentioned above, this has all the makings of a Max Duggan kind of game. Even if Miller plays, Duggan will be running the show – not only with his arm but also most likely with his feet. The senior signal-caller has exceeded this 30.5 number 7 times this season, including performances of 116 yards and 110 yards (Big 12 Championship against Kansas State). He had 57 rushing yards in the semis against Michigan. Georgia watched Stroud scramble for 34 yards and Stroud certainly isn’t Duggan when it comes to tucking it and running.
Kendall Milton to score a touchdown (+230)
Kendall Milton has scored in 3 of the last 5 games, so getting him this far into plus money has great value. In the last 2 contests, Milton has 113 yards (in the SEC Championship) and a touchdown (in the semifinals). The Fresno, California native will be playing close to home, too, which should only add a dose of inspiration. Milton has to share the backfield wealth with Kenny McIntosh and Daijun Edwards, but LSU’s defense is most vulnerable between the tackles and that is where Milton excels.
