Well, so much for another Georgia vs Alabama showdown…. The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide have battled each other in several SEC Championships in recent years and even went head-to-head for the national title, as well, last season. This time around, however, it is LSU that won the SEC West to earn a shot at the Dawgs in Atlanta. Undefeated and ranked #1, Georgia will have chance to defend its title in the College Football Playoff regardless of Saturday’s result. With 3 losses, LSU is out of the CFP picture even if it pulls off a massive upset.
Below is our SGP for the SEC Championship, and also be sure to check out our full LSU vs Georgia picks on the side and total.
LSU +17.5 (-110)
Jayden Daniels to score a touchdown (+160)
Kenny McIntosh Over 62.5 rushing yards (-114)
Parlay odds: +753
Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as Jayden Daniels scoring a touchdown would obviously work well with a Tigers cover. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with backing Kenny McIntosh to have a productive afternoon at the office, but even if he does there is no reason why LSU can’t keep this content within 17 points.
LSU +17.5 (-110)
From a talent standpoint, Georgia is the much better team. Motivation-wise, however, the edge may go to LSU. Even though the Tigers can’t win it all, capturing the SEC crown in head coach Brian Kelly’s first season would be huge – and it would obviously enhance the team’s bowl destination, as well. Despite the Bulldogs’ offense being one of the best in the country, head coach Kirby Smart seems content to sit on big leads with his running game and defense. QB Stetson Bennett has a modest 16 touchdown passes this season and Georgia’s only real blowouts have come against Oregon, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. With Daniels running the ship, LSU should be able to score enough points for a cover.
Jayden Daniels to score a touchdown (+160)
Even against an opponent like Georgia, getting Daniels at +160 as an anytime touchdown has good value. And, of course, it correlates nicely with our LSU ATS play. Daniels has scored 12 touchdowns this year, which includes 3-score performances against both Florida and Ole Miss. Yes, 3 rushing scores (he accounted for 11 touchdowns overall in those 2 games when also factor in passing). Daniels has carried the ball himself at least 12 times in 8 straight games and he will surely be doing that with frequency when put under pressure by UGA’s ferocious pass rush.

Kenny McIntosh Over 62.5 rushing yards (-114)
Georgia’s RB1 was banged up coming into the season and his production through mid-October showed. Since then, however, it has been the return of the Mc…Intosh. The Fourt Lauderdale, Fla. native has rushed for at least 86 yards in 3 of the last 5 games, including a 143-yard performance against Kentucky on Nov. 19. McIntosh has received double-digit carries in 5 consecutive contests after getting more than 9 carries only once in the first 7 games. LSU’s run defense is nothing special, allowing 144.0 yards per game and 4.0 yards per carry.
