We may be in between weeks of the NFL playoffs and the college football season has come to an end, but college basketball is here to help pick up the slack. A significant slate awaits us on Wednesday night, with 8 top-25 teams taking the court. It includes an all-ranked showdown between #20 Marquette and #20 Providence.
Let’s take a look at my 3-team mega parlay for Wednesday.
Virginia -6.5 (-110)
Florida ML (+164)
San Diego State -4.5 (-110)
Parlay odds: +862
For this parlay we are going with 2 favorites against the spread and an underdog on the money line. Here is a breakdown of each leg.

Virginia -6.5 over Virginia Tech (-110)
A road date with rival Virginia probably isn’t what the doctor ordered as a prescription for whatever is ailing Virginia Tech at the moment. The Hokies are in the midst of a 5-game losing streak and now have to face an opponent that is 13-3 overall (5-2 ACC) and ranked #10 in the country. Virginia Tech has dropped games to Boston College, Wake Forest, Clemson, NC State and Syracuse in succession. It has not found the win column in more than a month and it has not defeated anyone other than Grambling since December 11. Virginia, on the other hand, is a well-oiled machine – as usual. Head coach Tony Bennett’s team is 5-1 SU in its last 6 and all 5 of its wins during this stretch have come by at least 7 points (more than Wednesday’s -6.5 spread).

Florida ML over Texas A&M (+164)
This is already the second of two regular-season meetings between these SEC rivals and the opener did not disappoint. A January 4 showdown at Florida was tied inside the final minute before Texas A&M came away with a 66-63 victory. The rematch promises to be another fun one. Florida has not lost since its setback against the Aggies, reeling off consecutive victories over Georgia, LSU and #20 Missouri. Texas A&M is in fine form as well, but don’t forget that the Aggies have suffered 5 losses in 2022-23 and all 5 have come to unranked opponents. Guard Manny Obasecki (6.9 ppg in 16.9 minutes) is out for Texas A&M because of a hand injury. I wouldn’t be surprised if Florida wins outright as a +4.5 underdog.
San Diego State -4.5 over Colorado State (-110)
San Diego State is coming off a rare loss to New Mexico and will be eager to get back on track. The Aztecs had previously taken only 3 losses this season; they are 2-1 SU following a loss with a setback only to then-#9 Arkansas in overtime and victories by an average margin of 18.5 points. San Diego State is very deep, with 9 different guys logging at least 14.5 minutes per game. Colorado State has depth, as well, but Josiah Strong (20.6 minutes per game) is out due to illness. The Rams are 2-5 SU in their last 7 and have won in regulation only once in the last month. This isn’t a big number at all, so count on SDSU covering in convincing fashion.
