Just like that we have reached the end of the regular season and March Madness is right around the corner. We have a solid college hoops slate on Wednesday full of conference tournament action, and what better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, college basketball edition.
I just hit this CBB mega parlay the second to last time I wrote it on Wednesday at +1125; now let’s make it two out of three! We are going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every big NCAAB game.
California ML (+280)
Louisville ML (+210)
Parlay odds: +1078
Let’s break down each of the two legs one by one.
California ML (+280) over Washington State
To start this mega parlay off we’re looking at the Pac-12 Tournament and Cal specifically. The Golden Bears have been having a down season, but they haven’t been as bad as their record suggests. They’ve lost a ton of close games, which is why they rank 276th in Kenpom’s luck factor. In February Cal started to play a lot better, and they even had a 14-point road win over Oregon as well as a 14-point win over Stanford. Both teams here are defense-oriented, and both play at extremely slow paces.
That means this is going to be a low scoring game with limited possessions, and as such variance is going to be high. Which is why it’s the perfect spot to back a money line underdog. Washington State has a fairly high ceiling, but they also have a very low floor due to their style of play. That’s why they’ve lost to teams like Eastern Washington this year. They’re a prime target for an upset.
Louisville ML (+210) over Virginia
To wrap this mega parlay up and hopefully bring us home we’ve got Louisville in the ACC Tournament. Louisville has been a disappointment this season as well, but so too has Virginia. Something has just felt off about this Cavaliers team all season, so it’d only be fitting for them to go down early with an upset in the conference tourney. Louisville is coming off a double digit win over Georgia Tech in the first round of the tournament.
Virginia got a bye, which isn’t always an advantage. They could come out here a little rusty while the Cardinals have a lot of momentum following their big win over the Yellow Jackets. These teams just played each other last week in their final game of the regular season, which in my opinion increases the variance for this one. Virginia plays at the slowest pace in all of D1 basketball, which of course opens them up to upsets as well.
