The college football season came to an end last night, so now college basketball will get more of the spotlight. And it is coming at just the right time, too, as conference play is heating up in the ACC, SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12. A huge Tuesday schedule is upon us, and among the teams taking the court are Kansas, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Michigan State. Let’s take a look at my 3-team mega parlay for Tuesday, but make sure you also check out our college basketball picks for tonight’s biggest games.
Michigan State -1 (-110)
Oklahoma State ML (+195)

Michigan State -1 over Wisconsin (-110)
Michigan State is 11-4 on the season and currently riding a 6-game winning streak since suffering a shocking loss to Northwestern at home. The Spartans bounced back impressively from that result by beating Penn State on the road and starting conference play 3-1. Malik Hall’s return to action has been huge for the Spartans, as he finished with 15 points in a win over Michigan last time out. Head coach Tom Izzo’s team has been solid with Hall in its lineup and could realistically finish as one of the best teams in the conference by the end of the season. Wisconsin will most likely be without leading scorer Tyler Wahl, who is averaging 13.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

Oklahoma State ML over Kansas State (+195)
Kansas State (14-1, 3-0 Big 12) has been outstanding this season, but don’t sleep on Oklahoma State. Even though the Cowboys have 6 losses, they played UConn tough, led Kansas by 15 at halftime before ultimately losing by 2 and notched a win over West Virginia. While Kansas State ranks 11th in the AP Poll, KenPom has it all the way down at #27 — with Oklahoma State not far behind at #29. In other words, these 2 programs are probably closer than the rankings suggest and Tuesday’s game could be more competitive than the 5-point spread indicates. In fact, I think the Cowboys have a decent chance to win outright. Their biggest advantage is on defense, as they rank 11th in adjusted defensive efficiency. Sounds the upset alert.

Villanova vs DePaul Over 142.5 (-110)
Villanova is still struggling as far as wins and losses are concerned, going just 1-3 SU in its last 4 games. The offense showed some signs of life last time out at Xavier on Saturday, dropping 80 points — which was the Wildcats’ second-most of the season. In the past 2 games, Villanova is averaging 76.5 ppg, which is 5 points more than its overall 2022-23 average. The Wildcats are also the #1 free-throw shooting team in the entire nation at 85.7 percent.
Defensively, ‘Nova is also rather challenged; it allows a so-so 68.3 ppg. The over is 8-3 in the Wildcats’ last 11 on the road and 6-1 in their last 7 against opponents with losing records. As for DePaul, the over is 19-7 in its last 26 at home. The Blue Demons have allowed at least 70 points in 11 of their past 12 contests.
