College basketball Tuesday mega parlay (+1225 odds): Providence proves itself

Just like that we’re approaching the home stretch of conference play, and we have a nice big college hoops slate on Tuesday. What better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, college basketball edition.

We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every big NCAAB game.

Wake Forest ML (+400)

Providence ML (+165)

Parlay odds: +1225

Let’s break down each of the two legs one by one.

Wake Forest ML (+400) over Duke

Don’t sleep on this Wake Forest team. The Demon Deacons are 20-6 and have been playing really well recently, but still aren’t getting the respect they deserve. It’s clear they have a high ceiling, which is arguably the most important factor we’re looking for when targeting a team that’s a big money line underdog. They recently beat North Carolina by 22 and then Boston College by 30 the game after.

Five of their last six wins have come by at least 16 points, and Alondes Williams has been lighting it up. Perhaps most importantly, Duke certainly hasn’t looked unbeatable at home recently. In their most recent home game, they lost to a Virginia team that’s in the midst of a very down year. In their last home game before that, they only beat a middling Clemson team by two points. Wake Forest has looked very comfortable on the road recently, and this game just doesn’t scream mismatch to me.

Providence ML (+165) over Villanova

To wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home, we have Providence as a home ‘dog. The Friars are 21-2, and a lot of people have dismissed them just because some of their wins have been close. But hey, they’ve been finding ways to win games, and that’s what counts. Six of their top seven scorers are seniors, and the other is a junior, so I don’t think that it’s a fluke they’ve been winning close games.

It feels like a natural byproduct of their experience. They haven’t lost a home game all season, and I don’t expect them to start here. It’s not like they’ve just been beating up on soft competition either. They’ve beaten teams like Texas Tech, Connecticut, Seton Hall, Marquette and Xavier. All five of those teams are in the top 34 on Kenpom, and Texas Tech and Connecticut are both in the top 20.
