Just like that we’re approaching the home stretch of conference play, and we have a nice big college hoops slate on Tuesday. And what better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right, we’re back with another mega parlay, college basketball edition.
We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every big NCAAB game.
Missouri ML (+290)
Illinois ML (+220)
Parlay odds: +1148
Let’s break down each of the two legs one by one.
Missouri ML (+290) over Vanderbilt
To start this mega parlay off I’ve got Missouri. The Tigers broke out with a much-needed road win over Texas A&M in their most recent game, but if you’d been following the team you shouldn’t have been too surprised. Something had been brewing for a while there, and Missouri isn’t nearly as bad as their 9-13 record might suggest. In their game prior to the A&M win, they lost to a really good Florida team by only a single point.
Two games before that, they lost to a 22-1 Auburn team by only a single point. In their game before that they nearly beat Alabama on the road, and right before that they crushed Ole Miss by 25 on the road. You get the idea. They’ve been taking care of business against the middle-tier of the SEC, and coming really close against elite teams. Vanderbilt certainly isn’t elite, and they shouldn’t be this large of a favorite here.
Illinois ML (+220) over Purdue
To wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home, we have Illinois in this highly anticipated Big Ten showdown. People aren’t giving Illinois the respect it deserves, even though the Illini are 15-3 in their last 18. And just look at what those 3 losses were. They lost one game to Maryland, but that’s because star big man Kofi Cockburn didn’t play so we can throw that one out the window. One of them was to this same Purdue team, and it came in double overtime in a game where Cockburn only played 22 of a possible 50 minutes before fouling out.
And then the third loss was by just 4 points to an Arizona team that’s ranked 3rd in the country by Kenpom. Purdue definitely hasn’t looked unbeatable recently, and they have had a bunch of games be closer than they should have been against inferior competition. The last meeting between these teams took two overtimes to settle, and getting 2/1 with Illinois is too good to pass up.
