Just like that we’re approaching the home stretch of conference play, and March Madness is right around the corner. We have a solid college hoops slate on Sunday, and what better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, college basketball edition.
We are going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every big NCAAB game.
Minnesota ML (+150)
Nebraska ML (+440)
Parlay odds: +1250
Let’s break down each of the two legs one by one.
Minnesota ML (+150) over Indiana
To start off this mega parlay we have the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Minnesota is coming off a loss, but it was by a single point to a very good Wisconsin team that currently sits at the top of the Big Ten standings. Right before that they beat Northwestern by 17. It’s true that Minnesota has been a disappointment this season, but they’ve been much better at home recently. They have two great scorers in Payton Willis and Jamison Battle, and it might surprise you to learn that they’re actually shooting 37 percent from deep as a team.
And perhaps most importantly, Indiana just hasn’t been at all good over the past few weeks. The Hoosiers are just 1-5 in their last six games, with the one win in that span coming at home against a struggling Maryland team. Indiana is a completely different team at home, and they’re just 3-7 on the road this year with one of those wins coming against Nebraska.
Nebraska ML (+440) over Penn State
Speaking of Nebraska, I think it has a decent chance to pick up a rare win here. Penn State is a scrappy team that has battled for their 12-13 record, and they can hang with anybody on any given night. But they also have a very low floor, which leaves them as a prime target for a money line upset. Remember when they lost by 25 to UMass during non-conference play? The Nittany Lions’ offense is pretty anemic, and they’ve topped 70 points once since January 5th.
And that was in a double overtime game! All that’s to say, I don’t think Penn State should be this large of a favorite against just about anybody. The Cornhuskers have shown some fight, and they just played a pretty close game against Iowa their last time out that was knotted up for the entire first 30 minutes. If freshman Bryce McGowens can have another big game, Nebraska can pull this off.
