The AFC North was pegged as one of the best divisions in football heading into this season, but so far the teams have been inconsistent. Sunday’s matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens pits a pair of teams coming off losses a week ago. The Browns were routed by the Patriots, while the Ravens blew another double-digit lead in a loss to the Giants. Both teams are in desperate need of a victory in Week 7, but who will come out on top?
Our NFL expert has picks, predictions and best bets for this matchup, so let’s break it all down.

NFL Week 7 Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens prediction
This game might come down to the strength of both teams in the trenches. The Browns’ offense is predicated on running the football, and Jacoby Brissett’s presence at quarterback has certainly not helped Cleveland in the passing game. On the other side, the Ravens’ struggles in the second halves of games is a major cause for concern. However, Baltimore has still led by at least 10+ points in each of its games this season. Let’s get into our expert’s predictions for this matchup.

Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens expert picks
We’ve got 2 standout NFL picks for this week’s clash between the Browns and Ravens.
Browns vs Ravens point spread pick: Browns +6.5 (-110)
We have a pivotal AFC North rivalry tilt here as the Baltimore Ravens host the Cleveland Browns. Both teams could desperately use a win here, as each has dealt with some adversity recently. The Browns started 2-1 but have since lost three straight games, while the Ravens are just 2-3 in their last 5 with a couple of big chokes in that span. Cleveland might be 2-4, but three of their losses were extremely close. Those three defeats came by a combined total of 6 points, so I’m jumping at the opportunity to grab nearly a touchdown here. The Ravens aren’t anything to be afraid of, as they demonstrated in their loss to the Giants last week. The locker room appears to be on the verge of turning toxic, and several players have openly aired frustrations with the coaching staff recently.
Cleveland’s struggles have been a bit overblown, and I don’t think their defense is nearly as bad as people are making it seem. The Ravens have lost two of three with their one win in that span coming at home by just 2 points. Over his last 3 games, Lamar Jackson is averaging fewer than 6 yards per pass attempt and has more interceptions than touchdowns. The Browns’ style of play isn’t conducive to losing too many games by multiple scores, their debacle against the Patriots notwithstanding. Don’t overreact to one ugly loss to a suddenly resurgent New England team. The Browns should still be able to keep this one close at the very least.

Browns vs Ravens Over/Under totals pick: Under 45.5 (-110)
Both of these offenses have been stagnant recently and both teams are desperate for a win, which has me leaning toward the under. Jackson and the Ravens’ passing game have looked out of sync, and the Browns are going to want to keep this one on the ground with Nick Chubb. Cleveland’s defensive weakness has been containing the run, but I’m not too worried about Kenyan Drake doing much damage here. Brissett looked confident and capable at the beginning of the season, but his decision making has fallen off a cliff recently.
The Browns put up just 15 points last week, and Brissett hasn’t played well in either of Cleveland’s 2 road games this season. After struggling a bit out of the gate Baltimore’s defense has been improving, and they’ve looked really solid the past few games. They even managed to mostly hold the Bills in check recently and limited Josh Allen to just 5.9 yards per attempt. The week after that they held Joe Burrow and the Bengals to only 17 points, and they just shut down Daniel Jones last week.
