One of the most popular futures markets in this sport is determining who will win the Heisman Trophy. Last season, this award went to Alabama quarterback Bryce Young en route to an SEC championship with the Crimson Tide.

What are CJ Stroud’s Heisman Trophy odds?
After an outstanding freshman season, CJ Stroud is the favorite for the Heisman Trophy award at 2/1 odds at most sportsbooks. It’s not surprising to see Stroud’s name at the top of the odds board, following a season in which he dazzled in the Big Ten. With a year under his belt, Stroud’s second season as a starter should be sensational.
Will CJ Stroud win the Heisman Trophy?
CJ Stroud is the Heisman favorite, and it’s easy to see why. The Ohio State quarterback came on strong last season, showing his potential for a dominant campaign in 2022. As a true freshman, Stroud finished with over 4,400 yards and 44 touchdowns to just 6 interceptions. Stroud was effective throughout the campaign, finishing with a 72% completion percentage and the highest QBR in the nation.
While the receiving core did take a hit with the losses of Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave, the Buckeyes are still loaded. Stroud has Jaxon Smith-Njigba on the outside, along with budding star Marvin Harrison Jr. Ohio State should be favored by 10+ points in the majority of its games for a reason. For my money, backing Stroud to win the Heisman is a better investment than a -220 ticket on the Buckeyes to clear their win total, or win the Big Ten.
