The Champions League was high on tension but low on goals as the round of 16 began last week, with 1-0 wins for Milan, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, while Porto managed 2 goals in another shutout win. There are 4 more first-leg games across Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Tuesday’s slate features a rematch of the 2021-22 Champions League Final between Real Madrid and Liverpool, which the Spanish giant won 1-0, while Serie A’s top team, Napoli, heads to Germany to play Eintracht Frankfurt.
We’ve picked out our best bets for each of those matchups on Tuesday afternoon, but make sure you check out the rest of our soccer predictions which include Wednesday’s Champions League games and this week’s EPL matches. Both games kick off at 3:oopm ET and can be viewed on Paramount+. with Liverpool vs Real Madrid also being shown on CBS. Odds shown are available at the time of publishing.

Napoli vs Eintracht Frankfurt best bet: Napoli ML (+120)
Napoli is already in control of the Serie A title race in Italy, so should feel able to focus its attention on having success in the Champions League. After 20 wins in 23 league games it has a huge lead at the top of the standings. However, Napoli has also impressed in European action, winning a tough Champions League group while averaging more than 3 goals per game. That firepower, coupled with Serie A’s best defense, should be too much for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Frankfurt has some players who could cause problems for Napoli, such as Randal Kolo Muani, but there isn’t enough about last season’s Europa League winner to expect an upset by the home underdog on Tuesday.

Liverpool vs Real Madrid best bet: Both Teams To Score – Yes (-170)
It required a brilliant performance from Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to deny Liverpool a goal in last season’s Champions League final and the Reds should at least be able to get on the scoresheet when the European soccer giants meet up again in the round of 16 on Tuesday. Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0 in the Paris final to win a 14th European title as Vinicius Junior netted the winning goal with his team’s only shot on target. It was a battling performance from Carlo Ancelotti’s team as they made it 5 wins in the last 6 meetings with Liverpool, but Real’s defense looks more vulnerable without Casemiro shielding it this season.
Liverpool has had a troubled start to the EPL season and is only 8th in the standings, but the return from injury of Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota has boosted the English team’s firepower recently. The goals were flowing for both teams in the group stage of this competition, with Mohamed Salah of Liverpool scoring 7 times, while last season’s Champions League top scorer, Karim Benzema, is set to play after missing Madrid’s win over Osasuna on Saturday. Both teams should be able to score at Anfield.
