The 2023-24 UEFA Champions League Last 16 stage continues this week on Tuesday and Wednesday with another 4 great games to look forward to. On Tuesday, we have Inter Milan hosting Atletico Madrid while PSV take on Borussia Dortmund in their first-leg matchups. Our soccer experts have picked out their best bets for each of those games, with each scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm ET on Paramount+. You can also check out our soccer predictions for more Champions League picks as well as our EPL best bets each week, including our Manchester City vs Brentford predictions for their Tuesday afternoon game.

Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid best bet: Inter Milan ML (-135)

Serie A leaders Inter Milan return to European action having put together a stellar run of form. The Nerazzurri have won 8 consecutive games to take a comprehensive lead domestically, while they are now aiming for European success. Last season, Inter’s run to the final of the Champions League was a bit of a surprise. However, they look like real contenders this term and they head into Tuesday’s last 16 clash with Atletico Madrid having won 6 of their last 8 home games in this competition. Atletico Madrid have struggled for form so far in 2024. While the Spaniards beat Las Palmas 5-0 at the weekend, they’ve lost 2 of their last 3. The Spaniards have also only won 5 of their 18 road games against Italian sides in European competition, losing on 9 occasions.

PSV vs Borussia Dortmund best bet: Tie (+260)

PSV have been exceptional at home for a while now, avoiding defeat in their last 30 home games and winning 26 in that run, suggesting they should have enough to contain Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday. Dortmund will be a tough opponent though, after winning a group including PSG, AC Milan and Newcastle. They won both games against Newcastle and also won in Milan and should use their wealth of experience to come away from Eindhoven with a positive result.

However, PSV themselves impressed in the group stage by holding Arsenal and Sevilla to ties at the Philips Stadion. Dortmund have lost 8 of their last 9 road knockout games in the Champions League and, given PSV’s exceptional home record, Edin Terzic may be happy with taking a tie from this first-leg.
