PSG vs Bayern Munich best bet: Bayern Munich ML (+150)
PSG host the first leg and there are many of their stars either injured or recently returning from setbacks, which means that Bayern Munich can take advantage and secure a big road win in Paris. Julian Nagelsmann’s side has won all 6 of their European ties this season and can pick up another victory over injury-plagued PSG.
Bayern’s attacking weapons may not be as powerful as the potential Paris front three of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi, but they are a more cohesive unit. PSG were beaten 3-1 at Monaco on Saturday, 3 days after being knocked out of the French Cup by Marseille, to make it 4 defeats in 2023. Bayern have lost once – in September – and the home and away wins over Barcelona and Inter Milan in the group stages prove they are up to this task.

AC Milan vs Tottenham best bet: Tottenham ML (+190)
AC Milan have been in poor form domestically since the World Cup break and Tottenham may be able to secure an advantage and return to London with a victory from the first leg of this round of 16 clash. Spurs lost just 1 of their 6 group games to top Group D and managed a crucial 2-1 away win against Marseille in the last of those matches to secure progress to the knockout stages. Tottenham had a shocking 4-1 loss at Leicester on Saturday, but before that had beaten Manchester City so it could just have been a bad day for Antonio Conte’s team.
By contrast, Milan posed no real threat to Chelsea in either of their group matches against the Blues, losing 2-0 at home and 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. The hosts have lost 4 of their last 5 games in all competitions and there have been some thrashings in that period, losing 3-0 to Inter in the Italian Super Cup and 4-0 at Lazio and 5-2 at home to Sassuolo in Serie A. A contract dispute with star player Rafael Leao is damaging his form and there are injuries on both Milan and Tottenham that could cancel each other out. However, with Harry Kane back to his best and Dejan Kulusevski and Heung-Min Son clicking again as part of an elite-level front three, Conte’s men should be able to take a lead into the home tie.
