Denver Nuggets +5 over Boston Celtics (-108)
It’s not often we get to see the defending champions facing adversity, but this is certainly one of those moments. Boston has gone 5-5 over their last 10 games, with the three-ball letting them down in a few of those games. We just saw them get beat by 13 points against Oklahoma City over the weekend, as they shot under 20% from downtown. Denver has been really solid at keeping opponents at bay from the perimeter, allowing just 32.3% of shots to go in over their last 3 games. This could make the C’s lives difficult as they try to get back to winning ways. The Nuggets have been able to hold their ground in home games this season, winning 10 of 16 so far, and are currently in the midst of a really solid 4-1 ATS/SU streak. In head-to-head meetings, they’ve owned the Celtics at Ball Arena, winning 14 of 20 games, so I am happy to take them as 5-point underdogs.

Nikola Jokic over 1.5 made threes (-160)
Backing Jokic to make a pair of threes has been a very profitable bet as of late. The Joker has done it 11 times over his last 15 games, while shooting it at an impressive 43.2% efficiency. We just saw him pile up the stats against Victor Wembanyama over the past 2 games, knocking down 3 threes in both of them. The Celtics are one of Jokic’s favorite opponents, as he’s made 2 threes in 4 of the last 5 meetings and is currently on a streak of 3 consecutive games with at least 30 points against them. One of the main reasons why the Celtics are struggling right now has been their lack of perimeter defense – opponents have made 41.6% of their three-point attempts against them in the last 3 games. It’s also worth mentioning that Boston allows the 5th-most threes to centers this season, so good luck stopping Jokic tonight!

Derrick White over 15.5 points (-104)
Just like the rest of his teammates, Derrick White had a pretty miserable day at the office on Sunday shooting the basketball. He finished with just 2 made threes on 11 attempts — only 4 other times this season has he shot worse than that. So this is a good bounce-back spot for White as he matches up against Jamal Murray, who isn’t elite on defense anymore. Apart from that OKC game, White has been a very reliable 3rd scoring option for Boston. He’s cleared this line 4 times in his last 5 games, plus against the Nuggets he’s scored in double-figures 3 times in the last 4 meetings. Denver also allows the 7th-most points per game as a team this season, so we could be in for a high-scoring matchup here which should lead to an increase in production across the board.
