Milwaukee Bucks +5 over Oklahoma City Thunder (-114)
Both of these teams have enjoyed a lot of success lately, particularly the Thunder, who are on a 5-game win streak and lead the Western Conference. However, from a betting standpoint, I would say it makes a more sense to back the Milwaukee Bucks on the spread here. With a trophy on the line, both teams will be extra motivated to get the victory and I would argue there is not a lot that separates the 2 squads.
Experience is also valuable when it comes to big games like this. Giannis does have that 2021 ring under his belt, while the Thunder still haven’t had a signature postseason run as a group. Looking at head-to-head meetings, we can see that Milwaukee has dominated this matchup for the most part, winning 6 of the last 7 games. If we get a close finish here, which the neutrals are rooting for, then backing Milwaukee to cover is the more reasonable choice.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to record 12+ rebounds (-135)
Going up against Isaiah Hartenstein will be a challenge, but at this point of his career, Giannis isn’t afraid of anyone below the basket, even if it’s a bigger body player like Hartenstein. The Greek Freak just had 14 boards in the win over Atlanta, nearly hitting a 32-point triple-double. There is a lot of pressure on him to perform here, as the Bucks are in desperate need of a result to make amends for their poor start to the year.
Rebounding has been a big issue for Oklahoma City, as they allow 57.5 boards per game this season which is tied-worst with the Wizards. Antetokounmpo has had some really big numbers in recent head-to-head games, averaging 15.6 rebounds per game in the last 9 against OKC. He has had at least 12 rebounds in all but 1 of those games. Look for him to add to that positive run here.

Alex Caruso to record 2+ steals (+130)
One of the reasons why the Thunder have been so successful this year is their defense and getting Alex Caruso back from injury has elevated them even more in that department. The 30-year-old is one of the elite defenders at his position and his minutes have been steadily going up ever since he returned to the lineup. Guarding Damian Lillard will be his top priority here, so don’t be surprised if he gets 30+ minutes of playing time.
OKC allows the fewest points to point guards this season in the NBA at just 20.7 per game. Caruso has recorded at least 1 steal in 15 of 17 games played this season. Right now, he is on a run of at least 2 steals in 5 of 6 games and with this being the NBA Cup final, defenses will likely tighten up which should benefit anyone playing hard on that end. In head-to-head meetings with Damian Lillard, he has recorded a pair of steals 3 times in 5 games played. Fingers crossed he can continue his solid streak here and bring home our Bucks vs Thunder Same Game Parlay.
