One week down. One to go.
We are past the halfway mark of a two-week break in between the conference championships and the Super Bowl. The Pro Bowl has come and gone (we cashed the AFC and over!), so the home stretch toward Sunday’s festivities has arrived. Bets are obviously coming in fast and furiously on the big game, and it’s time to take a look at what the public is liking at this point in time.
Here are the best bets for Super Bowl LVI so far, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
Cincinnati Bengals ML (+165)
The Cincinnati Bengals opened as +140 underdogs and they are now +165. Bettors may have jumped on the Los Angeles Rams when they were -165, but -200 juice is clearly far less enticing. A total of 64 percent of the handle and 76 percent of the money line bets are going toward Cincinnati. Bettors are just about evenly conflicted on the spread now that it has climbed from -3.5 to -4.5 in the Rams’ favor. They have a bit of interest in the under now that the total has fallen from 49.5 to 48.5, with 62 percent of the money and 52 percent of the wagers hoping for a low-scoring affair.

Cooper Kupp Over 104.5 receiving yards
Unsurprisingly, the public is hammering the over on Cooper Kupp’s yardage quota. It has actually dropped from 105.5 to 104.5, but you can be sure it isn’t going to fall any farther. If anything, the number will climb back up. On this 104.5 mark, 98 percent of the handle and 97 percent of the wagers are backing the over. And why not? Kupp amassed 183 yards in the divisional round against Tampa Bay and 142 in the NFC Championship win over San Francisco. In those two outings he caught 20 of 25 targets and scored 3 touchdowns. Cincinnati was 26th in the NFL against the pass during the regular season, so the secondary may be hard-pressed to contain L.A.’s star receiver.

Joe Burrow Over 276.5 passing yards
The public always loves a good over bet, and bettors are also hopeful for Cincinnati to move the ball through the air. Joe Burrow’s passing yards over/under has already increased from 274.5 to 276.5, but that doesn’t appear to be scaring off anyone. The over is still inspiring 93 percent of the money and 86 percent of the wagers. Burrow has reached the 300-yard mark in three of the past five contests, including efforts of 525 and 446 yards to close out the regular season plus a 348-yard performance against Tennessee in the divisional round.
Joe Mixon Under 93.5 rushing yards
Not everyone can go off on Super Bowl Sunday. As mentioned above, bettors are eager to see Cincy move the chains with the pass as opposed to the run. Joe Mixon’s rushing yards quota has already plummeted from 98.5 to 93.5 and the public is still on the under train. It is drawing 93 percent of the money and 91 percent of the bets. Mixon rushed for 88 yards in the overtime upset of Kansas City, but prior to that he had not gained more than 65 yards on the ground since Week 13.
