The NBA Playoffs continues with the Eastern Conference Finals getting underway between the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. As well as that huge matchup, we’ve got plenty of other sports action to get excited for with the Euro 2020 soccer tournament, NHL Playoffs, and another strong slate of MLB baseball games, featuring the Dodgers vs. Padres on ESPN. There is also a host of promotions and odds boosts on offer from sportsbooks. But which ones should you look to capitalize on?
We’ve put together a list of all of the day’s best boosts — which happen to be from DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, and William Hill — and whether they are worth playing. Let’s dive in.
Portugal to beat France (Boosted to +320), FanDuel Sportsbook
Given Portugal needs to win or tie to confirm their spot in the Euro 2020 Last 16, these odds do look attractive. However, the Portuguese were just humiliated 4-2 by Germany (where they scored two own goals) and despite beating Hungary 3-0 in their opener, they didn’t score their first until late in the game. Portugal has been unconvincing, and now faces a France team that has the best squad in the tournament. There is some value, but not enough to make me fade Les Bleus. France to beat Portugal, both teams to score, and over 2.5 goals (Boosted to +500), DraftKings Sportsbook
Now this is more like it. As mentioned above, a tie would send Portugal through to the Last 16 but given the way they played against Germany I expect them to come out here on the offensive. And if Portugal scores, then all France needs to do is win to cash this bet. With attacking options like Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann, and Karim Benzema, I like France’s chances in front of goal today, and expect them to be fired up after being held by Hungary on Saturday. Giannis Antetokounmpo to score 34+ points (Boosted to +110), DraftKings Sportsbook
Giannis has been red hot for the Bucks lately, even by his standards. The Greek Freak scored 40 points in Saturday’s Game 7 win against the Nets, and getting to 34 points in Game 1 against Atlanta is very achievable. However, I can see him taking a more defensive role in the series opener and will be going up against a much more rigid defense. Brayden Point to score a goal and the Lightning to win (Boosted to +230), DraftKings Sportsbook
There are a couple of reasons to like this odds boost. The first reason, of course, is that the Lightning just issued one of the biggest humiliations in NHL Playoffs history, demolishing the Islanders 8-0 on Monday. The second reason is that Brayden Point has scored a goal in eight games straight for Tampa Bay. I know all streaks come to an end at some point, but when you consider those two factors, odds of +230 seems pretty darn generous. Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Rays, and San Diego Padres all to win (Boosted to +450), William Hill Sportsbook
There’s a lot to like about this parlay, not least when it’s boosted to +450 odds. The Astros have been crushing it and should have little trouble navigating past a struggling Orioles team. The Rays and Padres are in great shape too, but their respective matchups against the Red Sox and Dodgers I’m a little unsure of. Something tells me Boston is going to push Tampa to the limit, while tonight could be the night Los Angeles gets San Diego’s number after defeat in the last two nights.
