We have put together a list of all of the day’s best odds boosts, which are from DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook. We will discuss whether or not they are worth playing. Let’s dive in.

Shohei Ohtani to record 5+ strikeouts & hit a home run – Boosted from +600 to +700 with DraftKings Sportsbook

Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels are set to open their season against the Houston Astros. Ohtani is scheduled to pitch and he will be in the lineup as the DH as well. Last season, Ohtani had 46 home runs, among the most in the entire league. He also had 156 strikeouts in 130.1 innings on the mound last season, and had a 3.5 K/BB ratio. The Astros’ lineup is strong, but Ohtani is emerging as one of the best players in all of baseball, so backing him to have a great Opening Day on the mound and at the plate is worth a small play.

Karl Anthony Towns and Jordan Poole to Score 25+ Points Each – Boosted from +200 to +250 with FanDuel Sportsbook

For this prop, we will need Karl Anthony Towns and Jordan Poole to score at least 25 points tonight. Poole will be facing the dreadful Los Angeles Lakers, and Towns will be up against the San Antonio Spurs. Poole is averaging 18.4 points per game this season, while Towns is averaging 24.6 points per game. In 3 games against the Lakers, Poole is averaging 18.0 points per game. Though considering the Lakers have been eliminated, it is likely they will just be going through the motions here.

In 2 games against the Spurs this season, Towns is averaging 42.5 points per game, so it is safe to say he has their number. The Timberwolves still have a small chance to avoid the play-in tournament and overtake the Nuggets, but they must win here. Because Towns has dominated the Spurs and because Poole is playing a Lakers team in shambles, backing this prop looks to be worth a play.

Juan Soto and Shohei Ohtani to Each Record 1+ Hits – Boosted from +105 to +150 with FanDuel Sportsbook

For this prop, we will need Juan Soto and Shohei Ohtani to each record at least 1 hit on Opening Day. Soto and the Nationals will face the New York Mets, while Ohtani and the Angels will face the Houston Astros. Ohtani is coming off a season where he had 137 hits with 46 of those being home runs. Even though he will be facing the Astros tonight, his bat is too strong to believe he will not manage at least 1 hit.

Soto on the other hand, recorded 157 last season in 151 games. He basically averaged about 1 hit per game. The Mets are always hyped every year to go deep, and even if they win this game, I believe they will struggle pitching to one of the MLB’s best hitters. For that reason, backing this prop is certainly worth a small play.
