Best sportsbook promotions and odds boosts for Saturday: NFL, NHL, and NBA

FILE - Green Bay Packers' Davante Adams, left, celebrates his touchdown reception with Aaron Rodgers during the first half of an NFL football game against the Cleveland Browns Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, in Green Bay, Wis. Until this season, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers always referred to Hall of Fame cornerback Charles Woodson as his greatest teammate ever. After a Christmas Day victory over the Cleveland Browns, Rodgers called Adams the “most dominant player I’ve played with.”

We have put together a list of all of the day’s best odds boosts, which today are from DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook. We’ll discuss whether or not they are worth playing.

Davante Adams to score the first Packers Touchdown – Boosted from +290 to +400 with DraftKings Sportsbook

This prop will focus on Davante Adams and will need him to score the first Packers touchdown. Adams had 11 touchdowns this season and has been a favorite target for Aaron Rodgers for quite some time. He might draw a double-team from the 49ers’ defense, but that is likely not going to be enough to keep him out of the end zone. There is always the chance that a running back could grab the first Packers’ touchdown deep in the red zone, but the connection between Adams and Rodgers is strong enough to make this prop worth a play.

Derrick Henry to record 120+ rushing yards – Boosted from +475 to +550 with DraftKings Sportsbook

For this prop we will need Derrick Henry to record at least 120 rushing yards. Henry returns to the field for the first time since the end of October. He only played 8 games in the regular season, but managed to reach this number in 4 of those games. He averaged 117.1 rushing yards in 8 games this season, so a strong return looks likely against the Bengals. For that reason, this prop looks to be worth a small play.

Devin Booker or Chris Paul to record a double-double – Boosted from +135 to +155 with DraftKings Sportsbook

This prop will need Devin Booker or Chris Paul to record a double-double. Paul is averaging 14.0 points per game and 10.0 assists per game. Meanwhile, Booker is averaging 24.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Paul has recorded a double-double in 2 straight games, while Booker has mainly just been scoring. Because this prop does include Paul, it looks to be worth a play.

Ja’Marr Chase and AJ Brown to Each Have 70+ Receiving Yards – Boosted from +160 to +220 with FanDuel Sportsbook

Here we will need Ja’Marr Chase and AJ Brown to each have at least 70 receiving yards. Chase has easily been one of the best wide receivers this year, which is shown by him averaging 85.6 yards in the 17-game regular season. He followed that up with a 116 yard performance in last week’s wild-card game and should have plenty of success here against the Titans.

The Titans might lean heavily on Henry, but Brown is certainly a threat as well. He did average 66.8 yards per game in the regular season, but is still the number one wide receiver for the Titans. If the run game starts to slow down, Brown will likely be the go to guy. For that reason, this prop looks to be worth a small play.

Colorado Avalanche to Score 6+ Goals vs Montreal – Boosted from +220 to +300 with FanDuel Sportsbook

This prop will need the Colorado Avalanche to score at least 6 goals against the Montreal Canadiens. The Avs are the best offense in the league, averaging 4.18 goals per game. Meanwhile, the Canadiens are tied for the worst defensive team — allowing 3.67 goals per game. I have little confidence in the Montreal defending, therefore this prop looks to be a small play.

New York Rangers to Score 5+ Goals vs Arizona – Boosted from +200 to +270 with FanDuel Sportsbook

This prop will need the New York Rangers to score at least 5 goals against the Arizona Coyotes. The Rangers are only averaging 2.93 goals per game (17th in the NHL), while the Coyotes are allowing 3.62 goals (30th in the NHL). The Rangers have scored more than 5 goals just once since the start of the New Year, so avoiding this prop looks to be the best option.
