The Red Sox and Yankees had Thursday’s game postponed due to COVID protocol, but it appears like they might try to go ahead with the game tonight. Xander Bogaerts has been seeing the ball well recently, recording a few hits and RBIs in the games leading up to the All-Star Game. However, asking him to have at least two RBIs is a little risky. Pete Alonso is coming off a successful All-Star Break as he defended his Home Run Derby title. Now facing the Pirates, he will look to add to his home run total in the first game back. Pittsburgh always looks to be a team to fade, and with Chad Kuhl on the mound, backing an Alonso home run and a Mets win looks to be a decent play tonight. The Colorado Rockies might be one of the worst teams in baseball, but they had a stud in Trevor Story. The Rockies also tend to play better at home and will host the Dodgers tonight. Story is batting .309 at Coors Field this season, so asking him to have 2+ hits tonight looks to be worth a small play, even knowing the Rockies will be up against Julio Urias. Kris Bryant to record 2+ hits and the Cubs to win (Boosted to +400), DraftKings Sportsbook
The Cubs are not having the season they expected and therefore just traded Joc Pederson to the Atlanta Braves. Tonight the Cubs will face the Diamondbacks, who are probably the worst team in the league. Madison Bumgarner will be on the mound for Arizona, but he has not been the same this season, so the Cubs look to be in a great position to start their second half strong. Bryant has been one of the better Cubs’ hitter this season, so backing him to have a couple hits and for the Cubs to beat the Diamondbacks looks to be a decent play. The Open Championship is well underway and plenty of guys have been posting low scores already. In both days so far, at least one guys has had a round of 64 or better (Par 70) and Saturday should be no different.
