There are seven games for Tuesday’s NHL slate, we’re going to take a deeper dive into two of the matchups and choose two player props we think will provide good value and have a great chance of hitting. Games are starting at 7:00 pm ET and the final game of the night starts at 10:00 pm ET. The Tampa Bay Lightning are trying to get out of their current slump and Nathan MacKinnon is trying to extend his assist streak to four games in a row.

Ondrej Palat over 0.5 points (-110)
It’s been an underwhelming start for the Tampa Bay Lightning this season, and with Nikita Kucherov ruled out for the foreseeable future, a larger responsibility is put on a player like Ondrej Palat, a staple for Tampa’s first line. Steven Stamkos has been moved to the top line as well to help replace the hole that Kucherov left, and that should help Palat get on the scoreboard here. Stamkos has nine points in six games, the more he plays with Palat the higher chance he has to get a point. Palat hasn’t had a bad start to the season with three points in six games, but it hasn’t been to the same standard as years past.
He’s averaging more than two minutes of powerplay time a game, and he’s averaging more than two shots per game. If he continues to be active in the play he’s bound to get on the scoreboard. Take Palat to get a point here, he needs a rebound game, and the Lightning need to climb out of the hole they’ve dug themselves.

Nathan Mackinnon over 0.5 assists (-210)
Despite missing the first two games of the season, MacKinnon hasn’t missed a beat already leading his team in scoring with five points in three games; including four assists. He’s not only averaging more than an assist per game, he’s gotten an assist in every game this season, which shouldn’t stop today. After last years playoffs, the Golden Knights could be considered one of the Avs’ biggest rivals heading into this season and MacKinnon should be bringing his A-game as he attempts to help lead his team to another victory. MacKinnon is one of the best players in the world, maybe only second to Connor McDavid. With the bright lights shining in this heavily anticipated matchup, expect him to come out of here with at least an assist.
The odds aren’t the best for this play, but we think if you want to parlay this with one of our other best bets or in a game you like for tonight, this could work as a great odds booster for whatever parlay you have cooking up. Take MacKinnon to get an assist in this game.
