Tage Thompson over 0.5 goals (+155)

Tage Thompson is one of the league’s breakout stars. Playing on the struggling Buffalo Sabres can kind of shadow a player and their skill set, but Thompson is starting to make waves in the hockey world. He’s currently leading the Sabres with 41 points in 51 games and is red-hot with scoring goals. Thompson is on a 3-game goal streak and has 9 goals in his last 9 games. He’s proving himself to be the real deal.

The 6’7″ forward is one of the biggest players in the league, and at 24 years old, he’s starting to figure out how to balance his size and skill. His opponent for the night, the Minnesota Wild, have been struggling as of late, winning just 4 of their last 10 games. If the Sabres have any chance at victory, they’ll need their breakout star to contribute. Take Thompson to extend his goal streak and record over 0.5 goals tonight.

Jason Robertson over 0.5 goals (+150)

Jason Robertson is one of the many young stars in the game. The sophomore is currently having a fantastic season, averaging more than a point per game and scoring 23 goals in 45 games. He currently has 2 goals in his last 3 games. Considering his talents, he’s relatively unknown, which could help explain his +150 odds to score tonight. Oddsmakers may be undervaluing his contributions to the Stars. The Stars will be playing the Winnipeg Jets tonight, a team that hasn’t been playing their best hockey as of late. They’ve allowed an average of 3.5 goals per game over their last 10 games. Their goaltenders have struggled, and Robertson is skilled enough to take advantage of that. Take him to record over 0.5 goals tonight and gather his third goal in his last four games.
