Those games are supplemented by a couple of matchups that have plenty of appealing action. If you’re looking to get creative, there are a some player props with very solid value tonight listed below. Along with our player props, be sure to check out our full game previews for tonight’s matchups.
Charlie Coyle over 0.5 points (+120)
Boston is rolling with 9 wins in its last 11 games. Even the losses over that span were by 1 goal, 1 in overtime. Boston has scored an average of 4 goals per game over their last 10. If the Bruins keep this strong offensive play rolling, Charlie Coyle has a good chance to be a part of it. Minnesota is vulnerable as the Wild have lost 10 of their last 14 games. They are in the bottom third in the NHL in goal prevention this season and have been getting worse over the last month. That’s a good matchup for Boston’s offense.
Coyle centers Craig Smith and Trent Frederic and has a comfortable spot on Boston’s power play. Smith leads the team in goals, points, and plus/minus over Boston’s last 5 games. Frederic leads the team in assists over the same period. The Bruins needed to go on a run and this Coyle line has been a big catalyst. Coyle logs the 4th-most minutes per game of the Bruins forwards and averages a respectable half-point plus per game. Mix in the wrinkle of playing against his former team of 7 seasons and there may be a little added jam to Coyle’s game tonight. There should be ample opportunity for Coyle to get on the board.

Johnny Gaudreau anytime goal scorer (+140)
Calgary has been on a strong run, winning 18 of 24 games since January 18. A huge part of that run has been the resurgence this season of Johnny Gaudreau. He leads Calgary with 72 points in 59 games. Gaudreau has 26 goals and leads Calgary forwards in ice time per game with 18:25. Even recently he has carried the load for the Flames as he leads the team in goals and points over their last 5 games. Any offense Calgary musters, there is a good chance Gaudreau is involved.
The Flames’ top line of Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk, and Elias Lindholm has been consistent all season both in terms of production and staying together. This line is one of the best in the NHL as they have a whopping 208 combined points in 177 combined games. This game presents a good matchup against a Devils team that gives up goals in droves. New Jersey allows the 7th-most goals per game in the league. The Flames score the 6th-most goals per game in the NHL and 5th most at home, all on the back of Gaudreau and his line. He should get plenty of looks against this New Jersey team.
