Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots (-105)

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been centering the third line recently, and because of this, he’s the primary option for creating offense for his line. He doesn’t have Draisaitl or McDavid to rely on, which has forced him to start shooting the puck more often. In 4 of his last 5 games, he’s gone well over his shot total of 2.5. He currently has 18 shots in his last five games. This line seems to be undervaluing RNH’s role with the third line and how lackluster the offense has been from his two wingers. Despite only having 1 goal in his last 5 games, most of the responsibility for creating chances is on his shoulders. Nuge should easily cover the line of 2.5 shots tonight.

Cole Caufield over 0.5 points (-147)

Since the coaching change in Montreal, Cole Caufield has looked like a completely different player. The new head coach, Martin St. Louis, has done a great job developing Caufield and it’s only been a couple of weeks. Before the coaching change, Caufield had 1 goal and 8 points through 29 games, since then he has recorded 5 goals and 8 points in 7 games. This switch behind the bench clearly has resonated with a player like Caufield, and he’s starting to look more like the player fans expected coming into this season.

Caufield is showing more creativity and skill in the last two weeks than he had shown in the first half of the season. These might not be the best odds to take straight up, but if you’re looking for a bet to boost a parlay this is the perfect addition. Take Caufield to record a point tonight.
