MLB is back in full swing, and we’ve got another great slate on Wednesday. We’re coming off an immensely successful day of baseball betting where we went 3-0 on our MLB Best Bets and cashed a mega parlay at +1690! Why not try to keep the momentum going with a couple of props?

I’ve got two which I really like that I’m going to discuss here. Don’t forget to check what our MLB analysts have backed with side and total picks for all 15 games tonight.

Dallas Keuchel Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-115)

Line available at publishing at DraftKings

I love Keuchel’s matchup here for a few reasons. He’s not the biggest strikeout pitcher, but I think that perception has actually created some value with an artificially low total. In his first start of the 2021 campaign, he had four strikeouts in only four innings. After shaking off the rust, I expect him to go much deeper into the game here.

After all, Keuchel had a 1.99 ERA last season. He also has the luxury of facing a Mariners lineup that was dead last in the league in OPS against left-handed pitchers last year. Not only that, but through the first week of the season Seattle has the fifth-most strikeouts in MLB.

Keuchel should have a bounce back outing after his rough opening start, and he couldn’t have possibly asked for a better matchup. I think we should be able to get seven innings from him.

John Means Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-122)

Line available at publishing at FanDuel

Again I think we’re getting some value here just because of the public perception around the Yankees. Everyone has seen New York go off for 14 runs over the first two games of this series, and Means is being slept on. He was absolutely dominant in his first start, giving up only one hit in seven innings against the Red Sox.

He showed last year that he can be a strikeout an inning pitcher (42 punch-outs in 43.2 innings of work). The Orioles have had their starters chased early in each of the first two games of this series, so they’ll be counting on Means to go deeper and give the bullpen a break.

Even though the Yankees have scored seven runs in each game, they’ve still been striking out a fair amount in this series. Dean Kremer had five strikeouts in only three innings in his start against them on Tuesday, and Jorge Lopez had five strikeouts in 4.2 innings on Monday. Means should be able to get there as well.
