Joel Eriksson Ek over 0.5 points (-125)

One of the more underrated players on the Minnesota Wild, Joel Eriksson Ek is currently on a four-game point streak. Playing against the Ottawa Senators, his point streak should be extended to five games. Eriksson Ek plays on the third line for the Wild, which exposes him to much easier matchups some nights. The Senators aren’t exactly known for their depth, so he could get a much easier matchup than what he’s been used to the last couple of games.

He’s averaging 18:30 minutes a night and more than three minutes on the powerplay. Given how well the Wild have been performing lately, they should make easy work of Ottawa and help extend Eriksson Ek’s point streak. He has 28 points in 42 games played this season, however, he’s been playing his best hockey the last two weeks. Take him to record a point tonight.

Mitchell Marner over 1.5 points (+140)

The Blue Jackets will be starting a third-string goaltender for tonight’s game against the Maple Leafs. Jean-Francois Berube has been back and forth between the AHL and the NHL for the majority of his career — he’s only appeared in 35 NHL games. In those 35 games, he’s only totaled 10 wins with a 3.37 GAA and .898 SVP. After another embarrassing loss, the Leafs will be looking to stop the bleeding with a victory tonight. The first line for the Leafs has gone pointless for the last two games, but tonight provides an excellent bounce-back opportunity for them.

Mitch Marner has recorded seven multi-point games in his last 11. After zero points in his last two games, he’ll be looking to rebound. Marner is averaging 3:01 minutes on the Leafs powerplay, which is currently the best in the league operating at 31.1%. If Columbus gives up some penalty minutes, Marner and the Leafs powerplay should be able to score on the Blue Jackets third-string goaltender. Take Marner to record over 1.5 points tonight.
