Now let’s get to it.
Ryan Strome over 0.5 points (-142)
Line available at FanDuel at time of publishing
A number of New York players have stepped up in the absence of Artemi Panarin. Ryan Strome is one of those guys. In the 2 games that Panarin has missed in the league’s health and safety protocols, Strome has 2 goals and 2 assists. The 28-year-old is now up to 26 points (8 goals, 18 assists) in 30 games this season. In addition, he has collected 3 goals and 5 assists in his last 7 contests.
Tonight Strome and the Rangers have a road tilt with the Golden Knights. Vegas is coming off back-to-back losses, and are dealing with some injuries in net. Robin Lehner was not available for Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury, and backup Laurent Brossoit was out for undisclosed reasons. Both of them are listed as day-to-day, and it’s possible that neither will be available for this one. Given that uncertainty, the Ranger offense figures to be in line for a solid offensive night. They have scored 4 goals in each of their last 3 games, and as mentioned, Strome is a big reason why. Look for Strome to find the score sheet tonight.

Victor Hedman under 0.5 points (+120)
Line available at FanDuel at time of publishing
Victor Hedman is averaging right at a point per game this season, as he has collected 35 points (7 goals, 28 assists) in 35 games. However, he may have a tough matchup tonight against the defensive-minded Calgary Flames. The Flames are perhaps the best defensive team in the NHL. They play a very structured brand of hockey, and they are allowing just 2.35 goals per game to their opponents. That is the second-best mark in the league.
The Flames are also as healthy as they have been in a while. After multiple weeks of having players rotating though the league’s health and safety protocols, the Flames currently do not have anyone on the COVID/reserve list. That means they should be able to rotate their lines through to keep fresh legs on the ice against Hedman and Tampa Bay’s offense. Hedman has not seen much scoring success against the Flames in his career. He has managed just 7 points (all assists) in 14 games against Calgary. There is solid value at +120 with taking the under for his point total tonight.
