Chris Kreider of the New York Rangers

There are seven games tonight, we’re going to take a deeper dive into two of the matchups and choose two player props we think will provide good value and will have a great chance of hitting. The games are starting at 1:00 pm ET with the final game of the night at 8:00 pm ET.

Chris Kreider over 0.5 goals (+110)

Chris Kreider is tied for the league lead in goals, having scored 31 so far this season. His hard-nosed game is very difficult to stop. He has been on a goal scoring tear lately, with goals in eight of his last 11 games. Over that 11-game span, he has scored 11 goals. The New York Rangers as a team are currently on a two-game losing streak, where they managed to blow two-goal leads in both of those games. They are going up against a much weaker opponent in the Seattle Kraken today on home ice and I expect a large offensive output from the Rangers. If the Rangers manage to score some goals today, it is very likely that Kreider will play a big part in that, as he is averaging 0.69 goals per game this season. Kreider does a lot of his scoring damage on the powerplay. The Rangers powerplay will be going up against a Kraken penalty kill that is only operating at a very average 77.3%. Kreider plays the key net front role on the powerplay and should be able to bang one in if the Rangers get on the powerplay. Take Kreider to score a goal today.

Jake Guentzel over 3.5 shots (+120)

Jake Guentzel is yet again having another offensively productive season. He is a part of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ top line, consisting of himself, Sidney Crosby, and Bryan Rust. They seem to produce multiple scoring chances every game. With playing on that top line, comes scoring chances for Guentzel himself. In his last five games, he has eclipsed the 3.5 shot total in four of them. He also had two goals in the Penguins’ most recent 3-2 loss against the Detroit Red Wings. The Penguins are riding a two-game losing streak, with both losses coming against much weaker teams. As a team, they only managed to score three goals over those two games. I expect a large offensive output from this Penguins team today as they are going up against the Los Angeles Kings who will be on the second half of a back-to-back. Pucks on net will be the name of the game today for the Penguins as they will look to get back to basics to score some goals today. For a shot total of 3.5 that Guentzel has managed to surpass in four of his last five games, I think this is a must bet considering the juicy odds. Take Guentzel to record more than 3.5 shots on goal today.
